“Sure, if I reprehend anything in this world it is the use of my oracular tongue, and a nice derangement of epitaphs"
    Sheridan, The Rivals

“Our watch, sir, have indeed comprehended two auspicious persons"
    Shakespeare, Much Ado About Nothing

I make a lot of these myself, but they aren't entertaining.

    why are you waiting ?

are you like suzainne who opined she was leaving to help the poor and then returned after a bit of time because she found no one in her real life would give her applause?

or are just someone looking for posts to tell you are somebody ( same thing ).

if you are going to really leave, then post it and have the integrity to never look back at what was said after your post.

    not happening is it fella.

    what a fraud.
I wish you'd go away. Your constant negativity depresses me.

So she sadly died the day after her 93rd birthday 😢
Audrey was a lovely lady and many of the old guard knew her. She had a less-than-easy life but always made the best of everything and saw the best in everyone. She'll be missed.

I've never really understood why that thread keeps on and on, unless it's just because it's impossible to take off-topic.

Eventually Norah asked me, exactly like Lydia, “ Explain demonstrative”.
Doesn't evidence mean our natural sentiments, the rational arguments that I validly entertain?

Many Americans don't understand the community's need for something permanent to take an interest in beyond their own lives. They invent temporary celebrities - movie stars, kardashians, football teams and players, rich tycoons, showbiz dress-ups, even weird presidents - who get dumped once the media gets tired of them. Continuity doesn't seem to rate.

Nothing but a vague actress and a fallen prince, both united behind the idea of selling to the highest bidder the story of their undying vacuousness. Why do we have to put up with the endless take of these lovebirds whose intellectual horizons, if they exist at all, are limited to what font to use on Instagram?
A break from the kkkkardashians perhaps.

I guess what ever floats your boat as the expression goes. I don't think Wine is going to help your loneliness except maybe temporally.

I think chatty checkout staff is a better idea, and you get to keep the cash.

The Dutch plan to introduce Chatter Checkouts in their supermarkets. How sweet is that 🙂
My local supermarket does that already. They're very good at keeping the line moving too.

He's a sanctimonious bigot who's always had a stick up his ass about me. He feels that his personal attacks are justified.

Nothing I've said before he stuck his nose in has been outrageous or unusual. He can't object to anything I've said here and so he objects to my mere existence, which I find morally repugnant, of course.
I find all people like him, who object to other people's existence simply because they aren't following traditional behaviour, morally repugnant. We're all minorities after all, because we're human beings and not copies of some imaginary "right" group.
