Fast forward to May 1st 2021 (give or take a few days) and what do we see? My predictions:

COVID 19 vaccinations are beginning to take effect. Infection and death rates are falling, and despite resistance from those who don't believe in masks or vaccinations (aka idiots) Americas virus situation is on a steady march to real improvement.

Stimulus legislation will have passed and become law. Though the Democrats will have had to give ground in some areas, checks will be in the hands of the American people, a small business relief package will slow the damage done to our small business community.

Fully vetted and Senate confirmed professional cabinet members and department heads. No more TV hosts, ex model bimbo's, and family members.

The Presidents daily security brief will be required reading. Much like President Obama, (and unlike our recently departed stable genius) This important document will be given the attention it deserves.

This White House will make it clear that Wall Street and Main Street are NOT the same thing, and the financial well being of the average American family is at least as important as the financial well being of CEO Solomon and the other exec's at Goldman Sachs.

"The Donald's" legal and financial woes will begin to put him in multiple "worlds of hurt" leaving his political weight roughly equivalent to that of a feather duster.

Republicans will begin to jockey for position as it becomes clear a new leader, and new message will be sorely needed if they hope to reverse their fortunes from a disappointing 2020 election.

    🙂

I've made a chess set and I'd like to make more, but my only experience playing chess has been here - electronically. I've never actually seen or held good chess pieces in the flesh.

I don't know. What else is important?

    Thank you.
This depends on your intention. Chess sets fall into 2 basic categories:

Tournament sets: If you're going to make these, I'd suggest you first purchase a good quality plastic set, then copy the dimensions and colors as closely as you can with good quality wood or other material.

Artwork sets (aka clown sets): Personally I dislike this a lot! However if you insist on presenting our royal game in a trashy and inferior manner by going this route, at least use quality materials that will endure being dropped, and DON'T do a "themed" set based on a movie or TV show. 😕

    The pandemic is overblown.

It is quite likely that majority of the people who have died would have survived if they were simply given vitamin D

But since the liberals claim that Trump is to blame for covid, my question is what will Biden do the make it go away?

So far all I have gotten is that he will not, but he is a liberal so that is all that matters.

Dr. Eladar has spoken! 3000+ dead people every day in America is perfectly acceptable, so what's the big deal? All you have to is pop a few Vitamin D gummy's a day, and everything will be just fine. Problem solved! 🙄

The 14th Amendment guarantees us “Equal Treatment Under the Law,” not one set of laws for liberals and another set of laws for conservatives. Either one set of rioters should face serious consequences for the actions or neither should.

It would be better for the country if it were the former, but either way, everyone should be equal under the law.

BLM has done much damage on many cities and they are still occupying many cities. That's Ok, though. But let a spontaneous group of MAGA people riot in Washington, and Pious Democrats are so shocked!!! they want convictions!!!

News Flask Skippy: I live in Seattle and BLM has done very little damage, nor did they invade our capital and kill people.

The problem with your multiple exclamation points !!! is it exposes your angry white man issues, and displays to the world your failed struggles to recreate an era that has long since past. The river of time won't flow backwards, nor can you put the toothpaste back in the tube.

The partnership between Americas business community and the Republican party goes back many decades. Lately however that "bromance" has cooled off a lot. Twitter and many other companies will no longer do business with our former President, or many of his supporters, citing misinformation (a polite term for lies) and the social media communications between members of the good squad that assembled, and attacked our nations capital. Tech giants; eager to escape government regulation have been banning whom they see as those who would use violence to bully their way into power. To be fair, some of those banned have also been left wing rioters who have also caused much property damage, but most of the "self regulating" from the tech giants has been aimed at the right wing.

So - can Conservatives patch up their differences with these tech giants and continue their partnership with wall street, or are these fences too damaged to mend?

    Thoughts?

What about the CEO of a big business? Should she be able to petition the government for something as a citizen or should that also be illegal? What if that personal petition is for decrease in corporate regulation? Can she call her Congressman and ask for repeal of corporate regulation?
Lobbying is going to go on in one form or another regardless of regulations. My only beef with lobbying, is the well to do have a number of ways to purchase access to lawmakers, while the working class does not.

    What do you think?
Let's suppose that FDR had died and Donald Trump had become US President in 1933 or 1937 and then become a de facto dictator.

America would still be in the middle of the great depression 90 years later. Donald J Trump couldn't manage to run a lemonade stand without driving it into bankruptcy.

I agree. I think Karpov would have been a little stronger than Spassky by 1975. Too close to call IMHO. By the mid 70's however Fischer's psychological demons were getting the better of him.

    Hey - Y'all....

Your departing stable genius already "deprogramed" the GOP. Sending his armed goons to our nations capital to kill, injure, and destroy property exposed your party for what they are; a bunch of brain-dead, redneck loonies. Many of these idiots in DC will end up in prison because they were too dumb to realize there were about 150 camera's filming them.

No wonder you lemmings lost the election! 😏

Trump's return to private life should have been a triumphant capstone to his wild run. But he has spent the last four years tanking not only his own brand, but the Republican Party's as well. And the GOP is even less pleased than the dozens of investors, banks and business partners he's burned during his business career. Instead, he insisted on lying and attempting to manipulate the election, eventually inciting a mob to attack Congress. As a result, we've seen a string of setbacks for the self-aggrandizing mogul in the last week that have left him, according to reports, more worried about the effect on "the long-term brand" than the violence he inspired.

As a result of Donald J Trump's erratic and questionable behavior, America's business community can't sever ties with Trump fast enough. Twitter, Google, Microsoft, Yahoo, Citibank, The PGA, Deutsche Bank, and many others want nothing to do with him anymore.

Donald Trump sold himself as a "smooth operator" A smart guy who knew how to get things done. It's sad that millions still believe this -

Putin is doing back flips over what we are giving up in the way of oil. Watch the partnership evolve with China, and then, with energy bought from russia (Putin back-flipping), China will be the economic power of the world. Hey kids, a communist country. You fellers sure about all this? You apparently do not have children.
Well Mr. Average - at least you have some of it right this time. Yes, relations between Russia and China will likely improve, and China's economy will continue to grow, though not for the reasons you give. Unfortunately you're leaving out the parts about solar and wind power are now cheaper than oil and gas, because of this, the market for oil based products is barely holding steady, so don't look for Putin to be doing many flips, since the Russian economy is not likely to improve.

As far as your poorly worded attempt to paint Democrats as communists, laced with your corn-pone, hew-haw spelling of fellows - you're simply putting your own stupidity on display for all to see. 8 years of Obama did not witness the end of Americas market based economy, in fact our economy improved steadily for all 8 of those years, despite taking over for Republican President Bush 43 that served up the great recession on his way back to Texas to collect his big, fat government pension.
