Why not? Franklin Roosevelt served multiple terms as President from a wheelchair through the great depression and the darkest days of WW2. Is image all that matters to you?

P.S. Your obese ex-President can scarcely walk 50 yards on a golf course without the assistance of a cart, so you might want to think about that before complaining about Biden.

I've just recently been doing the chess puzzles published on the site.
I knew they were there, but haven't really bothered with them before.
I'm fine with the mate in 2 or 3 moves, but mate in 8 and 9 which some of them are!
Can anyone on here really think that far in advance or is it just a question of how many errors?
I have also noticed a lot are published by someone who ...[text shortened]... also ask Russ to keep this facility on any "new build"
I don't know how many use it but I like it.

The short answer is "Yes" there are a select few on the planet who can think that far in advance, but fortunately you don't have to. Tactics exercises will expand your ability to recognize patterns, and as yours improves, you can make decisions with increasing accuracy, without having to calculate the exact moves all the way through. Laszlo Polgar understood this when he began educating his daughters using tactics exercises.

You're on the path to improvement venda, keep up the good work. 🙂

Erode the work ethic that the country was built on? Pay people for an extra day when they don't produce? Uhh,, will there be layoffs?
The top 1% pay 47%^ of taxes. Bernie, and you fellers, keep saying they should pay their fair share.
Inflation has risen by 18% since Biden took over. The only common denominator that I see is...you guessed it..... Biden. Con ...[text shortened]... e yesterday that the economy is doing great? Faeries in Fairy land. Eggs are up 71.3% since Biden.
Erode the work ethic that the country was built on?

Many countries in Europe and around the world have work weeks less than 40 hours and function perfectly well. It's not the number of hours you work that make you effective, it's what you do with those hours. Stop living in the past.

How about an adult conversation on this matter? If we all live in Mayberry and are voting on the best use of a surplus of $200,000, should a citizen of Yemen passing through town on his way to Vegas have the right to go into the courthouse and vote on what 'he thinks' we should do with the money?

Having an ADULT conversation on this matter going to be pretty difficult as long as you continue to write like a 6-year-old. Just look at your posts here. You should be ashamed of yourself.

I think your OP exemplifies a certain intellectual and emotional cowardice which is endemic in much of of your posting. In this particular instance you’re trying to create some drama by saying something unflattering about a person or persons who just prior to you making the OP had ruffled your feathers. I spotting who at least one of them was, and I don’t think it’s clever at all. Just passive aggressive.

I looked at it at pixel-level in photoshop, can't see what somebody thinks was "manipulated."
Manipulated photo or not, I have nothing but good things to say about the Middleton sisters. They're polite, charitable, and good role models for young girls.

The Brit's have the Middleton sisters. The American's have the Kardashians.

Do you have the courage to say whom you OP is aimed at?
Do you have the courage to say whom you OP is aimed at?

It is not a lack of courage, but a lack of clarity that compelled me to describe those folks the way I did. Just as their philosophy is a bit abstract and hazy, so too is my definition of them. Frankly I thought it was rather clever. 😏

To the philosophical bards of RHP, I say: "May you find much happiness on this journey of yours." 🙂

In the most significant criticism by a U.S. leader against the Israeli government since its war with Hamas began, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer on Thursday called for new elections in Israel to replace Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Schumer, the highest-ranking Jewish official in the U.S. ever, said in remarks on the Senate floor that “the Netanyahu coalition no longer fits the needs of Israel after Oct. 7.”

This conflict is looking less like a legitimate effort to insure Israel's security, and more like a deliberate effort to prolong this war in order for Netanyahu to remain in power. It worked for "W" in 2004, but will it work for Netanyahu today? We'll see.

Nothing to see here folks, move along.

Although the speech that women (Beth Bloch) gave was excellent:
“In a world where qualifications are often measured by titles and years of experience, we are reminded of a powerful truth: God does not call the qualified; he qualifies the called.”

    Hahaha
I wonder how much longer the RNC, and republican donors are going to continue paying this parasite's legal bills, not to mention his $1200.00 dinners at 5-star restaurants, $6000.00 monthly hairweave's, fuel and upkeep on his jet, $7,500.00 suits etc. Most of it coming from small doners struggling to buy their weekly 6 pack of beer.

Take the paranoia level down a bit, I wasn't aiming this specifically at you, and yes, I've switched to OTB competition for the present time.

They're frequent visitors and contributors to this site. They drift through their rated games year after year with little thought or plan, taking their many losses in stride with (seemingly) no interest in improving. The tone of their posts brings back echoes of the late 1960's hippies, who's desire was to float through life on an abstract Karma trip, while bestowing on the readers their views on life, (bringing back memories of my freshman philosophy class)

To all of you who fit this description, I offer my sincere apologies if I've been harsh with you on occasion. Being a somewhat left brained creature, I don't often drift into the world of the abstract philosophical but wanted you folks to know your entertainment value alone warrants a place here. I hope you find what your looking for and wish you well-. 🙂

your bio states that you take skulls.

at your rating that is a poor statement. do you truly take a game out of time ? why not give grace to someone at your level and try to win per se ?
why not give grace to someone at your level and try to win per se ?

I give about 24 hours of grace, then I take skulls. Though I enjoy the creative side of chess, I also believe there is a structure that should be maintained, especially since my opponent was given ample "grace" with which to analyze the position and to move within the allotted time control just as I was.

my true goal is to find my place in the eternal creation, leaving behind the words of man.

my goal on this site is to disasemble the creatures of the Left.

they exist, like green growth on the lily pond. not breeding goodness, just creating something poor on the water.
I wish you the best of success - whatever form that takes. 🙂

nothng can be done until one finds the truth of self.

    a hard journey.

what one finds is that two sides of a statement of often has three sides.
Sounds good. What to you plan to do with this subscription? Compete in tournaments? Post on the forums? Any goals or skill levels you want to attain?
