@very-rusty saidWhat's your definition of happy then rusty- lasting, sustained contentment?
Drugs might make you happy for the moment, what about when the high is over?
@very-rusty saidIt was a posh place, I'm too nosey. I wanted to see who else was there tbh!
Did you enjoy the privacy?
@very-rusty saidI've eaten in a restaurant that was in a posh hotel and there were screens around us. It was pretty weird, we couldn't see anyone but our waiters when they came over.
Wife had her birthday in earlier Feb, we are not on lock down.
We do have restrictions such as wearing masks and keeping distance.
We went to an upper scale place and they have each table surrounded by either a clear plastic or a glass it was hard to tell, they say they are going to keep it that way as people enjoy the privacy it gives them. I think it is a great idea. It was nice actually sitting down at a restaurant, been awhile for us!
@divegeester saidLimited choices these days though, isn't it.
I had a birthday recently and we broke curfew to stay with relatives and had a hoot.
I’m not an “escape room” fan and I don’t like “online” group stuff much.
@fmf saidYou used to have fingers?! 😲
When I was in the Yakuza in Japan, I broke into a sweat the first time they chopped one of my fingers off.
@divegeester saidNot any more, its more now.
As a non subscriber I believe it is 6.
@trev33 saidI like my papaya with a squeeze of lime
Favorite fruit: papaya
Favorite tree: papaya
Favorite smell: mango
Papaya can't have everything you know.
I did make a song about it though, remember the tequila song? Just replace tequila with papaya. Oh papaya you make me happy...
No i haven't been smoking anything or drinking, or sniffing or whatever.
Now where was I. Oh yes.
@relentless-red saidSure, but where would that stop?
If choosing convenience foods is destroying the planet it is hard to see the good in it. Maybe financially penalise the company offering the choice? Offset the cost to the environment and the cost to health perhaps? c.f. cigarettes??
@great-big-stees saidI started watching the Durrell's. I got a few episodes in. I might try again. Have you seen the series?
My favourite book: My Family and Other Animals.
My favourite: shape...ship 🤔
@relentless-red saidIt's convenient.
Are people so lacking in confidence in the kitchen that they feel it's worth the money?? I just don't get why it sells. So easy to Google pancake mix.
@mwmiller saidRelaxing, thankyou for this
@relentless-red saidWe live in a throwaway society, full of convenience items that are not needed nor wise for us to be producing or purchasing 🙁
Pancake mix is back on the shelves again.
What is the mark up for mixing flour, egg, milk and salt and packaging? Literally nothing else in it.
How much extra packaging is used in the process?
