Heard mixed things about the movie. Anyone seen it (pts 1 a/o 2)? Recommendations? Good or bad parts? Worth the time (from what I hear it's 4 hours plus, with a 20-minute intermission) and money ($13 in Beirut)?

It's coming here in a few weeks and I'm planning on seeing it.

Well, I'm under the assumption that he's dead and what I do or not do has absolutely no bearing on Ché. I don't think that if I see the film that I'm being disrespectful of the principles he fought for; certainly no more disrespectful than any other aspect of my life and how I live it. I'm interested in what a film would have to say about Ché.

That's a good point. I've still heard good things about it (pt 1 at least), so I don't care what capitalist thinks they can make a movie about a socialist leader, the fact is that it was done. Same as someone making a movie of Stalin. A capitalist.

Stalin would give you a one way to the Gulag for that one.

Eh ... yeah ... the "Freudian slip" excuse doesn't really work online, does it?

I was going to see it, but the theater by me was showing it only as one five hour movie. I didn't know if I had the stamina for that. So I'm waiting for it to come back out in two parts.

The trailers look pretty good, I must say.

It's two parts, with a 20-minute intermission. Back in OH where I'm heading over right now (currently in layover in Heathrow), you can buy for one separate part, or both parts.
