im a bit late to this party, but here is my two penny -
after the debacle of the previous 3 films people needed to be re-set, re-inserted back into what the original films were and how they made us feel. There are going to be countless more star wars movies and spin offs, the force awakens was just about putting us back where we were in the 70's and 80's....now the next few movies have to take us somewhere else other than nostalgia.

Completely agree. Hugely disappointed.
Hann Solo was on Prozac as Ford struggled to keep the pace up.
His son was so ugly and in-scary I thought it was a joke.
Solo's death scene was pathetically dull and stupid.
I couldn't care less about the new characters.
Thumbs down.
