On March 14th 2009, a reformed Midnight Oil, with Garrett, made an appearance at Sound Relief. A concert was held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on 14 March 2009 to raise money for victims of Victoria's February bushfire disaster.
If you are a fan of the Oils like I am, and live outside of Australia like I do, you will want to see this...enjoy. The event was held simultaneously with a concert at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Appearing with Midnight Oil in Melbourne were, Augie March, Bliss N Eso with Paris Wells, Gabriella Cilmi, Hunters & Collectors, Jack Johnson, Kasey Chambers & Shane Nicholson with Troy Cassar-Daley, Kings Of Leon, Liam Finn, Crowded House, Jet, Paul Kelly, Split Enz and Wolfmother.
When the DVD of this is, inevitably, released, be sure to buy it.
This is an hour of "the most awesome band in the world"... a claim that is given some credence by this absolutely amazing 60 minutes of music!
