Bridgit Jones' Diary. Although I'm probably not the target audience. It's Colin sappy smug face Firth, oh and Hugh Grant doing his one role that he does all the time. And that terrible, I'm a wacky/clumsey girl and that's why people love me thing. Wacky people are the most annoying people in the world.
Oh, and A.I, just pathetic. About 50% of Osmond's dialogue was saying, 'Mommie' in the most high picthed annoying way every. When your watching a film and want the main protaginost to die, you know the films got problems.
Man that is the truth. It was well made but if you examine it, it is just one huge cliche about what Hollywood thinks about American suburban life.
The hero is a teenage drug dealer.
The main character quits his job in a corporation to "drop out", blackmails his boss, tries to seduce a cheerleader and gets involved with the teenage drug dealer. Ooh, isn't he cool?
The military man hates homosexuals but only because he is a closet homosexual himself.
They even use the floating "feather" scene from Forrest Gump.
Cliche, cliche, cliche.
The fact that zillions of nerds suddenly got transported beyond their Dorito-fat-asses and unattractive face acne into a fantasy of a computer geek, handsome and fit, actually doing something cool like firing guns and fighting eThreats, doesn't make it a good movie.
It's high on the list certainly. I remember reading somewhere that screenwriters voted it the most overated screenplay of all time. My vote goes to Casablanca however.
Originally posted by PinkFloyd I just watched "The Searchers", and I'd have to vote for it. What is so great about this flick? I've seen better plots in TV-movies on Hallmark channel.
