Stews mainly came from Hungary in certain periods of middle-Europe, those periods themselves (with Goulash) etc, came from the Huns didn't they? That's a question, not an influence.... 😉
Dress: A cap of course... 😀
Flag Name: Royal Standard of the Netherlands.
Anne Franke's Home? Now would that be a famous building in the Netherlands, or Germany? 😳
Don't you dance around Dart Boards, as a National sport?
😉
Originally posted by mikelomSouth Africa is a former colony, of course. I'm not sure what the cultural origin of stews is, I'd guess stews developed indepedently in many different cultures since it's a pretty broad concept. That's not to say they didn't come from Hungary originally, but I'm just not sure.

Anne Frank's home is in Amsterdam. Anne Frank was born in Germany though, I'm talking about her home during WW2.
Darts is pretty popular, though not as popular as in the UK. Football is probably the most popular sport.
I will be interested in knowing what variety of answer you get from any one country. I''ll try for the USA.
What is the National :
Dish/food/staple diet: Pizza? Burrito? Mac D-style Hamburger? Whatever. Something fast that can be eaten in a car.
Dress: Jeans that are about to fall off, or sweats, a hoodie or if absolutely sweltering, a logo'd T for dudes, and some bling, similar but closer fitting and more stylin' threads for chicks. The backwards baseball cap if skate boarding. Business casual, really casual, for the office working class. The corporate/governing class wear suits. Daytime pajamas for homebodies. The best clothes are worn by construction workers because form follows function for them or they might snag something and die.
Flag name: Befitting a country with multiple personality disorder, Old Glory, the Stars and Stripes, The Star-Spangled Banner, "That thing they raise and sing at instead of starting the game."
Game: Pro (American) Football, The Big Loser (for football couch potatoes), following politics, denying responsibility for same, not voting.
Most Famous Building: Sadly, the twin towers.
Currency: Plastic with a magnetic strip and the numbers stand for something, I forget.
Dance: The unemployment line-dance is hot lately.
Originally posted by JS357A more serious reply for the USA would be food: Kansas City Style Pork Ribs (many other regions would tout their own, I am in California) and as dance, Square Dancing. And to add a category, musical piece -- Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue, in spite of or even more, because this being the USA, it is being used in promotions and on board by United Airlines.
