One of its key themes is the right to bear arms in order to defend oneself from government tyranny [in the wake of a complete governmental breakdown - and abrupt return to a pre-industrial economy - and the vacuum having been filled by armed militias that rule over a patchwork of completely totalitarian 'Republics']. One of the leading baddies, a gun toting psychopathic militia leader - brilliantly acted, it has to be said - is a dead ringer for Barack Obama! Owning a Stars & Stripes flag [thus being a "Rebel"] or possessing a firearm is punishable by summary execution. I'd be interested to hear the thoughts of anyone else who happens to be watching this.
