1/4th of the Weavers who had some #1 hits in 1950 before getting blacklisted by the accursed commission on communism, not sure of the exact name, House unamerican activities? Anyway she was a beloved member of the folk community. She recorded with Holly Near and toured with Pete Seeger and Arlo Guthrie in a group called HARP.
Only one member of the Weavers left alive, Fred Hellerman. Pete Seeger died this year, Lee Hays died some 20 years ago and now Ronnie.
She is missed by me already. RIP.
