My ability to affect proximity with these 6+ billion is a foregone conclusion; my desire for a planet with MUCH less population is not. Some people seem to relish the company of others (the more the merrier). They desire company; I, however, do not.

Intimacy actually is considered a state of being very close to somebody, a state of very closed relationship; one can see intimacy between very closed friends, between soldiers during war, between people that respect in full each other; to feel intimacy means not that you must have sexual relations with somebody -this interpratation is only euphemistic;
