So you won't describe what you find unusually interesting about the music?

What I value about The Cramps is their style -- the names, the look, the humour, the dirty stomping sex beat, it all comes together a treat. It never fails to throw the right switches and bring me out in a bug-eyed jangling boogie fever.

I saw them at Hammersmith Odeon years ago. The lead singer behaved rather 'oddly' at one stage. The audience fell silent!

The Gun Club, in its various incarnations, could outhowl a pack of wolves. Great stuff. But I'd say The Cramps opened the door for this type of music.

I'm hoping a copy of Jeffery Lee Pierce's 'autobiography' will materialise in a bookshop near me soon.

Terrible quality ... good humour. (Don't watch unless you're a Cramps fiend.)

I am reluctant to say on an open forum, especially RHP 'cos their moderators are very good at banning for silly reasons. Suffice to say: Think of Jim Morrison.

By the way, the cover of Off the Bone is a 3D image - get the red / green glasses and have a look!

I guess Jeffrey Lee was a bit fat and bloated. But that doesn't narrow it down much. Send me a PM, I'm genuinely curious.

    Still sounds great.

I think the two of them are well into middle age now. Somehow Poison Ivy doesn't seem to have aged.
