    The nice thing with subtitles instead of dubbing is that you still hear the original voices. I don't know how you could ignore the original voices and "hear" your own voice because you are reading the subtitles. However, in Germany everything gets dubbed. It's horrible. I tried watching some Star Trek in German (I have it on DVD and can choose the language), but it was so weird that I couldn't take it for more than a few minutes. But I like to have subtitles, preferably in the original language if it's English, German or Norwegian.
