100 US troops to Uganda to fight a small, rather moribund bunch of guerrillas. No need for Congressional approval of course. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/44912923/ns/world_news-africa/

It's power politic payback for Uganda doing the US' dirty work in Somalia. Still given the number of small anti-government groups operating in the world today, the principle of intervention in other countries' affairs seems to remain limitless for this administration.

    Gee what a coincidence:

[Ugandan] Lawmakers Tuesday voted in favor of on a motion to slap a moratorium on the execution of any new oil deals, including Tullow's $2.9 billion sale of two thirds of its interests in the country to France's Total SA (TOT) and China's CNOOC (CEO).

The development leaves the key deal in balance as Uganda awaits the commencement of up to $10 billion oil development projects in the oil rich Lake Albertine rift, where at least 20 oil fields have been discovered so far in three oil blocks.

If you're going to rip off (ahem, parody?) Rush Limbaugh have the balls to admit it and cite the man. Like so:

    Ugandabekidding me.

AS for Congress, no need to consult them. I'm sure they look at war as just another great stimulus package to help the economy.

Hey I just got another revelation...

Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon. And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

.....mmm. No it couldn't be that.....

What are the chances we're going to have another Blackhawk Down scenario in Uganda?
