Curiously I could not find any report (BBC or press) that noted his religion.

You mean if he was found to be Muslim his jail term would be longer? Or Catholic? What difference does the religion make? He is a rapist, depraved one at that, isn't that enough?

My point, which seems to have gone over your head, is that if he had
been Muslim, the headline would have been "Muslim Serial Rapist".

Apparently the faith of rapists is only important when they are Muslim.

The religion of the offender wasn't noted according to you, yet you know for a fact he wasn't Muslim.

Sonhouse often shows poor reading comprehension outside of his technical field.
That said, the right-wing tabloid 'Daily Mail' loves headlines like 'Muslim Serial Rapist',
but I don't know that the BBC would be as overtly bigoted.

Looking at the photo (in the BBC article) of Stuart Hooper (apparently a white man), we
know that he at least would NOT BE STEREOTYPED as a Muslim (even if he's a convert).

Since no religion is cited, we might as well assume he's atheist until we know different.

    I don't know for a fact.
But I would give you sensational odds against.

I would say it's 50/50 that he is Christian or atheist.
But that is besides the point of my post.

The only time religion of offenders is given is when they are Muslim.
    (Or priests ...)

You read a lot into one sentence. It looked to me like Wolf was asking if he was Muslim. And if so, would that make him a worse rapist than if he was say atheist. Why would he bring up religion at all? There was nothing about that in the original BBC piece.

No, just white men anywhere on the planet, like UK whites, US whites, Same Same.
    Guilty till proven innocent.

I know, I should have better reading comprehension than that.

    Wolfgang59's correct.

"Why would he [Wolfgang59] bring up religion at all?"
    --Sonhouse

Sonhouse shows his complete ignorance of the broader context.
It's well-known (to Wolfgang59, me, and many others) that right-wing propaganda likes
to single out and demonize Muslim men as rapists. At least several right-wing writers here
also love to keep doing that. It's part of a general campaign to incite hated of Muslims.

Sonhouse keeps showing his abysmal reading comprehension (which Wolfgang59 noticed).

"The right-wing tabloid 'Daily Mail' loves headlines like 'Muslim Serial Rapist', but
I don't know that the BBC would be as overtly bigoted [against Muslims]."
    --Duchess64

For the benefit of the practically illiterate Sonhouse, I OBVIOUSLY meant that I doubt
that the BBC would be as OVERTLY BIGOTED *AGAINST MUSLIMS* AS TO USE AN
INFLAMMATORY HEADLINE LIKE 'MUSLIM SERIAL RAPIST' (to quote Wolfgang59).
That's what the 'Daily Mail' would do, but not the BBC, as far as I know.

Outside of his narrow technical field, Sonhouse keeps showing that he's often too
ignorant or irrational or simply illiterate to meet a minimal standard of discussion.

How much will the self-pitying Sonhouse enjoy playing with his new right-wing racist ally Mott the Hoopie?

Sonhouse not getting the intent of my post is
hardly going to turn him into a right-wing moron!
