Antiabortion lawmakers want to block patients from crossing state lines
Several national antiabortion groups and their allies in Republican-led state legislatures are advancing plans to stop people in states where abortion is banned from seeking the procedure elsewhere, according to people involved in the discussions.
[...]
The Thomas More Society, a conservative legal organization, is drafting model legislation for state lawmakers that would allow private citizens to sue anyone who helps a resident of a state that has banned abortion from terminating a pregnancy outside of that state.

How such charges could possibly stand up in court is beyond me.,
Are the claiming that a resident of their state is property of their state?
Horrible idea

Kuddos!
12th post replying to his claim of “not being a Republican”
a few posts above that.
Just adding some perspective 🙂

the reasoning for that legislation or who wrote it, that type of thinking has to be
stopped if that is the case.
@earl-of-trumps saidIsn't that what you wanted? Complete freedom for the states! Self-determination! No more meddling from those horrible, woke libtard Feds!

Well, then... states declaring their inhabitants to be mere chattel should be right down your alley. This is what you've been clamouring for all along, and it's no good denying it now that there's egg on your face.

Good, now add a thumb up your ass and get out of here.
@earl-of-trumps saidWouldn't it be more effective if they went to Joe Manchin's office and shout "hang Joe Manchin" for not voting against the filibuster?

I don't know what court in the US - pr anywhere, would find this *legal*. Like HOW? We need @No1Marauder on this
And good to see you, Kelly.

Idjut,
My idea of freedom does not mean people are free to commit crimes
As the late great Libertarian @Gene-Burns once famously said, The right of your fist ends at the right of my chin

Some people don't care how it gets done (make abortion legal), I want to see this done *properly*.
The SJC was correct in returning it to the states because the right to abortion is not codified, it is not in the constitution or bill of rights,
therefor the abortion issue has never been in the aegis of the SJC to begin with.
So now , let us finally stop playing the guessing games, the pleading games etc, and get it done RIGHT
The people should be organizing a drive to get an amendment to the constitution done, and the congress can too
@earl-of-trumps saidRead the Ninth Amendment.

As I posted last week, Republicans had a 3.4% lead in the aggregate Generic Congressional poll pre Dobbs. Since that ruling overturning Roe and Casey, there have six polls taken after the decision; 3 have Republicans leading, 2 Democrats and 1 is tied. The Republican advantage is down to 0.5 points in the aggregate (a swing of almost 3 points in a week) and the right wing overreach identified here has barely started.
@Earl-of-Trumps
They want to control even the MOVEMENT of women. Horrible is a weak word to describe these basturds.
