Stop comparing these two groups. They are worlds apart as far as their founding principles, benefit to society and pretty much everything else.

    Panthers:

    1) The Black Panthers' central guiding principle was an “undying love for the people.”

    2) Practiced militant self-defense of minority communities against the U.S. government, and fought to establish revolutionary socialism through mass organizing and community based programs.

    3) The party was one of the first organizations in U.S. history to militantly struggle for ethnic minority and working class emancipation

    4) The Black Panthers Party launched the Free Breakfast For Children program

    5) Black women spoke out, gained more recognition and helped to power the movement

    The KKK:

    1) Dedicated itself to an underground campaign of violence against Republican leaders and voters (both black and white) in an effort to reverse the policies of Radical Reconstruction and restore white supremacy in the South

    2) Hanged victims by the neck, usually tying the rope to a tree. They also perpetrated vicious whippings, shootings, tar-and-featherings, rapes, bombings and torching of homes occupied by innocent families (sometimes where children lay sleeping)

    3) Killings by the Klan were sometimes staged as public events

    4) Bombed churches attended by blacks

    5) Fostered hatred toward Jews

    6) Klanswomen were not equal to Klansmen.

So stop comparing a group that was prepared to use violence if necessary for self-defense to a group that used violence to promote white supremacy.

The Black Panthers advocated armed violence and the use of force to overthrow the government. They preached hatred against all whites and were responsible for a chit-load of crimes against whites.
But hey....they gave out some free breakfasts as a publicity stunt, so liberal dooshes like you would be on their side and say they had a positive effect on the community.

Good thing you weren't around then and got caught in their 'hood after dark, trying to be all cool and stuff showing solidarity with them.
They'd a eaten you up alive.

Do YOU have sources? You asked me for sources, and I came through. You'll have to do the same here. And not YouTube links either, or some random guy's blog, like you normally post.

Look at Wikipedia and you can see things like "April 6, 1968: A team of Panthers led by Eldridge Cleaver ambushes Oakland police officers. Panther Bobby Hutton is killed" or Eldridge and Kathleen Cleaver left the country days before Cleaver was to turn himself in to serve the remainder of a thirteen-year sentence for a 1958 rape conviction. They settled in Algeria.[citation needed] "By the end of the year, Party membership peaked at around 2,000.[84] Party members engaged in criminal activities such as extortion, stealing, violent discipline of BPP members, and robberies. The BPP leadership took one third of the proceeds from robberies committed by BPP members.[85]"

Why didn't you post the link? Is there something in there you don't want us seeing?

No, I wasn't trying to hide the link. I wasn't even insisting that it is was accurate. Here's the link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Panther_Party

Sorry, but your comparison is incomplete, and from carefully chosen sources.

Both Black Panthers and the KKK have their ugly underbellies. Both make attempts at uplifting their memberships, by the way, at the expense of others. This is no defense of the KKK. It is indefensible, as are the Black Panthers. Both are innately racist! Try not to be fooled by either group.

    "Both are innately racist!"

Another factual distortion by Normbenign. The Black Panthers and KKK were not 'mirror images' of each other.
The Black Panther Party had a few non-blacks in its positions of leadership.
Richard Aoki (a close friend of Huey Newton and Bobby Seale) was a 'Field Marshal'.
(After his death, it has been claimed--and disputed--that Richard Aoki worked for the FBI.)

Has the KKK ever had a recognized non-white person in a position of leadership?

"Carefully chosen sources"? Really? Google "Black Panthers". Right Now.

As of this post, the VERY FIRST search result is the first link I posted. The VERY NEXT result is the second link I posted, by the Huff Post. The third link is simply another link from the Huff Post. If you don't believe me, Google it right now.

Don't accuse me of cherry-picking sources.
