It is an attempt to further delegitimize Trump and his supporters, not over turn the election.

The election was stolen when the Republican Party removed 7.2 million African-Americans, latinos and Asians from the voter rolls across 28 states and denied those Americans their Constitutional right to vote. The provisional ballots from those states were never counted.

Highly implausible. Trump might lose one electoral vote, but even that is debatable. The political career (or any hope of having one) of any faithless elector would be over, done, finished, discombobulated.

Maybe we could blame the Russians for our electoral process... we could say it was all Putin's idea.

I thought you were a big fan of the Electoral College?

There is nothing in the Constitution requiring Electors to vote for any specific candidate. Indeed, an Electoral College functioning as the Framers intended would almost certainly reject an unqualified demagogue such as Donald Trump.

A legitimate government only works when extreme corruption does not exist.

It isn't the electoral college, it is the corrupt system. Power of the people by the people and for the people only exists when the people ensure it happens.

Citizens do that, not government entities.

There would be nothing "corrupt" about the Electors rejecting Donald Trump; in fact they would be performing in the manner the Framers intended.

The People didn't and still don't want Trump to be President.

Go see what Greg Palast has written about Kris Kobach and the Interstate Voter Registration Crosscheck Program. Educate yourself. GOP corruption at its finest.

    More Republican fear tactics.

Stuff isn't corrupt just because you say so. Remember Comet Ping Pong?

Just stop with the boogeyman tales.

If I were shifting to the left, I'd be saying the government should fix things in the name of the people.

I would go even further and argue that if the electoral college can't be used once in 225 years to stop a candidate exactly like Trump, then why was it instituted in the first place?

The very thing that gave Trump the election was precisely the mechanism that was designed to stop him.

I know it's not going to happen, but the Hamilton Electors' idea of voting for a Kasich or Huntsman or Romney (or really anyone but Trump) would be ideal.

Trump won and there is no reason to believe that he is any less qualified than he was on the day he was elected. Nobody likes sore losers. It's time to stop crying about the election result.
