Just another round of conservative hypocrisy.
Moscow Mitch and others of his kind, get on their soapbox's year after year, preaching self reliance, and don't want the big, bad government in our lives, but - these hypocrites are the first to line up for federal aid when tornado's or other weather disasters hit.
Wouldn't it be nice if these "holier than thou" conservatives practiced some of what they preached?

My great grandkids grandkids will still be waiting around for a conservative to finally follow through on the promise for "limited government". Conservatism in America is almost like socialism at this point; it's hypothetically great in principle, but we've yet to see it in reality.

be taking credit for projects that
they voted against
@mchill saidYou are truly a loser in debates. You always mix issues. There is a govt insurance program that provides flood insurance. I have a house in a “Flood zone.” I pay $750/annual.

I am definitely self reliant. And I Do not want government in our lives.
You are pitiful if you think the two concepts are connected. Idiot.
I wont go into FEMA, I clearly make my point, which defeats yours🇺🇸

No private insurance companies
will provide flood insurance but
The Federal Government will?
So, in your 'self reliant' way you
decided to get GOVERNMENT INSURANCE?
No, you don't make your point,
but you certainly reinforce ours.
Once again, your argument is truly
less than average, joe.
@averagejoe1 saidsooo you're benefiting from a government insurance program at a better rate than anything you found on the market, paid for by a reasonable annual fee of the participants and a lot of taxes from everyone but you are self reliant and you don't want the government to interfere in your life 😀

In my profession for many years since the 60's, Fed Govt was the only source of flood insurance. I now find that some private companies make it available. I did not know that. But you can still read the part that I wrote about self-reliance!!!
**. Wait!…No lie, because I did not intend to deceive!!!!!!!

Dear Joe - They are very much connected. Sucking federal disaster relief dollars is not being self-reliant. I would also point out that paying an insurance company $750.00 a year for flood insurance has nothing to do with federal disaster relief.
I'm afraid it is you who are mistaken young jedi - about a great many things! 😏
@AverageJoe1
I googled, and I see that this thread says "Homeowners...can purchase flood policies from an insurer under contract with FEMA. (fed govt). So I was not entirely wrong, Uncle Sam backs up/underwrites every payment. Ahh I love exoneration.
