Now, the PA Supreme Court, issues an order on November 1, 2024 staying the Commonwealth Court's order - meaning the county weren't required to count undated and misdated ballots but the order didn't state that they were required not to count them. The number of these ballots is small; 607 in Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania's most populous.
It seems to me people shouldn't be disenfranchised just because they forgot to put a date on an envelope or make a mistake on the date when the ballots are timely received but this is typical of right wing mania to not count votes. We'll see how the courts decide.

That special election was held in September. The order from the PA Supreme Court stayed the lower court's order that undated and misdated ballots had to be counted but did not expressly declare they couldn't be:
"AND NOW, this 1stday of November, 2024,the Emergency Application for Extraordinary Relief Pending Filing of Petition for Allowance of Appeal is GRANTED only to the extent that the Commonwealth Court’s decision docketed at 1305 C.D. 2024 and 1309 C.D. 2024 is stayed and shall not be applied to the November 5, 2024 General Election."

Again, the case is in litigation and we should expect a decision this week.
