On a State trip to the UK, Trump manages to say (on the first day):

    - the prime minister’s plans are rubbish
    - if they go ahead, there won’t be a trade deal (he doesn’t want to trade with Europe)
    - that he thinks Boris Johnson (a rival to Mrs. May... who’s just walked away from a top position in government in a bid to wrangle more power) would make a great prime minister
    - that the mayor of London is rubbish.

Once I’ve stopped laughing, I’ll seriously ask you:
    - do you think the man is sane?
    - do you think he represents a better trading partner than Europe, Syria or the Galactic Empire led by Darth Maul on XTC?

    - would it be justified for May to seriously snub him and make him persona non-grata, refuse to meet him and have him escorted out of the country?

    This last question is serious.
Because if she does, then it’s really gonna F-up relations.
However, if she doesn’t, it will make her look weak (probably lead to her downfall by the next tory conference) and diplomatically allows Trump to say anything he wants, wherever he wants.

    What you all reckon.
Yeah, take time to stop laughing first!

I think it would be hilarious but justified if May said to Trump: "Get out of my country and go kiss Putin's a** a day early".

Heck, I might slightly reduce my hatred of Brits if she did so.

This is more of Trump's inability to adjust from bullying building subcontractors to international diplomacy. From Britain's point of view there is slightly more trade with Europe than the US. The US has more trade with other countries. The thing is, not getting a new trade deal with the US is not going to change things. So there isn't really a threat. Not getting a trade deal with Europe is going to change things a lot, so he can't actually make things difficult for May in reality.

I think the only way May can come out of this badly is if she gives into any of his demands. Expelling him from the country is an obvious mistake. He can appear as the "innocent" victim.

Donald Trump's accustomed to getting his way by bullying women in business.
So he's conditioned to assume that should work with Theresa May or Angela Merkel.

Israel's Prime Minister Netanyahu apparently adores him.

Netanyahu is a strong, confident leader who appreciates the same in the American president. God bless Netanyahu and may his enemies declare peace or be defeated.

You do know Netanyahoo and his wife are also under investigation for corruption too? I guess that doesn't matter either, so the gang of 3 can go on forever, Natan, Putin, Trumpin.

Why do people think strong, confident leaders are a good thing?
Stalin, Hitler, Thatcher all strong confident leaders.

And what is there to appreciate in a strong, confident leader of another country?

Tom Wolsey may be an American evangelical Christian who (like Suzianne) is an unconditional
supporter of Israel and admires Israel's brutal racist oppression of the Palestinians.

Benjamin Netanyahu should be indicted for war crimes, not just for corruption.

When he has friends in low places like WH, that will never happen.

Nice try; attempting to put Mrs Thatcher in the same category as Hitler and Stalin.

How sad that no matter whether you are left or right biased, all you American extremists can do is hate.

That’s right, look at all the successful weak anxious indicisive leaders in contrast.

His visit here was a cringe-fest; I feel so sorry for my American friends and family.

Divegeester need not worry. When expedient, No1Marauder has denied (as I recall)
hating anyone, though his often hateful and abusive behavior may suggest otherwise.
