It's a joke, right? Trump's not seriously running for president. 😵

The great thing about Trump is how thin-skinned he is. It takes very little to get under his skin. If he were President, he'd probably be screaming at press conferences about newspapers portrayed him offensively in cartoons.

History has shown us that American Presidents do better when they have a full head of hair.

    Good luck Trump.

Surely, in a democracy, anyone can run?
And in the US, anyone with lots of money can run.
    Hopefully, he won't get elected.

I suspect that many people hope that Donald Trump will become the Republican candidate
for President because they expect him to be easy to defeat in a general election.
But what if (very unlikely) it came down to Bernie Sanders against Donald Trump?

Sanders, Jewish Socialist and all, would win. Sanders is far to the left of most Americans, but even many Republicans respect him for his honesty and sincerity. Trump is a clown. While he'd no doubt get the far right vote against Sanders, I'll bet that the centrists would rather have an experienced and sincere politician (even one with whom they disagree) as President than a clown.

Back in the late 90's Trump said many times in interviews that "he was too honest for politics" and strongly suggested that politics was not for him. Now he's running for President. My...how the stories change.

Trump is a rich Prog clown just like Ross Perot was,

His only job is to see to it that Hillary gets elected.

What struck me about Ross Perot when he ran against Bush and Clinton was, when he was leading in the polls he dropped out of the race.

It was only when his numbers fell and Clinton took over the lead again that he got back in the race. Like Ross, I think Trump would do the same, although I doubt he is even worried about that prospect since he is such a clown.

Although Sanders is as old as dirt, he is the future Dim party.

The ideology will be used to enforce an even more powerful corporate/state model to the point of being unable to distinguish between private and state owned entities.

Besides yourself (Sh76), which of the normally pro-Republican writers in this forum do you
suspect would vote for Bernie Sanders rather than Donald Trump in a hypothetical election?

Eisenhower is indeed the only balding President elected in modern times.

On meeting his bald treasury secretary, Eisenhower joked, “I see you comb your hair the way I do.”

Sleepyguy once said he liked Bernie Sanders insofar as his being honest. I don't know SG's opinion of Trump, but I'm guessing there's a chance he'd vote for Sanders over Trump.

I was hoping to find more closet 'socialist-tolerant' pro-Republican writers in this forum.

Trump must see a money angle in runnig for president. It may be publicity or something that he believes will gain him chances to make more money. He certainly doesn't act like a normal politician trying to appeal to the majority to get the most votes.
