Everything Must Go

Debates

1 edit

I think I finally figured it out: this is a fire sale. Everything must go. πŸ˜†

Turn the government off, then on again. Basic operating system reloads, but a lot has disappeared.

Musk admitted: "We will only get one shot at this." But what is amazing that this is EXACTLY what Libertarians have been demanding for years - and they only ever got 3% of the vote! This is like getting Adam Kokesh in the White House.

This IS the most Libertarian control of the Executive (not President; this is a Pretender) in history. None of you know libertarians like I do (I was one). This is more or less exactly the most extreme anarchist agenda they EVER proposed.

Are the rich just angling for a tax cut? No. Oh, sure, they'll take it - but that's not what this is about. This is about ending GOVERNMENT OVERSIGHT and rights protection (and for a few, about balancing the budget; we'll see if we get to that.)

It's pretty clear that Trump is just the smokescreen/shiny object for the media to chase. Who is pulling the strings? Not Trump - not smart or capable enough. He is the Jeffrey Epstein, the construct. He has been made by ... who? Musk, Thiel, Koch, others? Roger Stone created 'Fat Nixon' but others paid for it.

Here's the plan: ignore Congress (easy), ignore the courts (check), make sure the Army stays in their barracks (check). And then rip it all out. Start over with a blank slate. 2026 is a long way away.

Call a constitutional convention of the states - there are more red than blue - and implement the Constitution you want.

Why will it work? Because once you create enough chaos, there is no way to undo it. Our courts were already sclerotic and unable to do resolve the most important case of insurrection within 4 years. The volume here simply overwhelms them: there is too much motioning and appealing; plus, SCOTUS is compromised/partisan.

It will be impossible to return to the Regular Order. We can no longer return to business as usual. So all the pundits (fewer and fewer) saying this is just a blip and we will undo it all after the next election - no, we won't. We won't be able to.

War (yes, this is a "soft" civil war. No shooting yet, but the system is breaking) creates new realities. The old order is swept away, a new order is put in place. Is it better or worse? Hard to say.

But I don't see ANYONE who yet realizes what is happening, let alone standing up to stop it. Dems are still thinking this is business as usual and they should hold up signs and wear pink. We are way, WAY beyond that point. πŸ˜†

Well at least us right wingers are happy ☺️
Only problem is it is much easier to break a vase than make one. πŸ˜†

You are breaking a vase and saying, "Well now I have a smaller vase." πŸ˜†

Think so?

It's an entertaining post but, even as a Libertarian, I can't by into everything that you say. (see above)

And I find it interesting that most dems think Putin controls Trump, but you have a different opinion.

have a good one.

Trump collaborates with Putin but 'controlled'? I doubt it. πŸ˜†

The people who created Trump don't seem to care much what he does with Russia, which makes sense. Russia exports oil and gas, which we don't need, and not much else.

China is of a lot more interest to them. Tariffs are a way to punish China by making their goods more expensive.

They know Trump will likely push the country and the world into recession, but that's a small price to pay for decimating gummint. It'll cost them in stock value, but they just won't sell. Things always come back, they know that - or think they do.

This is why we can't have nice things.

Call it that if you like but its really a big FU to the little guy, the worker, the non-unionized exploitable minions.

And look how they've languaged Ukraine. Every victim will be blamed for their injury.

No. Do not provide a smokescreen for these deplorables. You say anarchic libertarians, I say narcissistic evil incarnates. But I might be overstating things a little. But these guys have no heart and they are not patriotic to the nation that raised them.

Anarchic libertarians don't accept what I call the 'civilizing' obligation. They don't accept that they *must* help protect the rights of other members of society.

Oh sure, they accept that nobody can infringe on another's rights. They agree to that. But if an anarchist sees A steal from B then he might get involved; or he might not, BECAUSE ANYTHING ELSE WOULD BE SLAVERY. πŸ˜†

That's why "taxation is theft" for him. Because forcing him to pay taxes to make sure everyone's rights are protected deprives him of his property AND his "right" to choose to ignore what is happening around him.

Most of us, though, (including many libertarians) DO accept the obligation to help protect the rights of others because without that assumption civilization and society and government all cease to exist. So we accept paying taxes to fund a government that protects the rights of others

When you see Trump and Republicans screaming about more tax cuts and getting rid of government, it's not just to save money or make things efficient.

They don't believe, fundamentally, in the idea of civilized society. They (think) they would much prefer a landscape of competing warlords - which is what always arises when civilization collapses BECAUSE, in their minds, THEY would be the warlords!

Fun times! πŸ˜†

Trump and Musk are starting to un-ravel. Much of what they have done, is and will be, overturned in the courts. However, much damage has been done that's for sure. My personal opinion is that Trump and Musk should be put in prison for Treason against The United States of America.

you have a very interesting perspective, good to see you in here, fellow libbertarian

I don't think the courts can get to it all. Not before a Constitutional Convention of the States. The courts might punt rather than go through the motions of rendering a possibly moot decision. πŸ˜†

Perhaps the plan is to destroy the federal bureaucracy and then privatize departments they want to keep. There will be few consumer protections or regulations. Let the buyer beware. By summer's end, the administration will have cooked the books and we will have no way of truly knowing how the economy is really doing. Those with money will buy the stock market dip and come out far ahead in the end, unless a recession turns into a global depression. As of December 2023, foreign countries held approximately $8.1 trillion in U.S. Treasury securities, representing roughly 31% of the publicly held debt. What happens if many of these countries sell their treasury holdings? Keep in mind, Trump has declared bankruptcy six times. I seem to recall he said declaring bankruptcy is a smart business move. I doubt this is true, but it's definitely not good for a sovereign nation. The Muskrat and Donald Dickhead are turning the USA into a banana republic.

Question 1: If consumers start having to "beware," do they buy more or less? Less, that's correct.
Question 2: What powers the US economy? Consumer spending - correct again! πŸ˜†

New Topic: What if a President thought that foreigners who held US debt were being "very unfair"? What if foreigners "had no right to hold US denominated securities" because they "weren't American"? So all of that debt was "written off"?

Wouldn't that "serve them right," those nasty furriners?

It's all just TOO hilarious! πŸ˜†

you mean reason against the American democrats, perhaps?

you think that everyone that disagrees with you is a treasonist.
