How does throwing a kid in jail or punishing a kid at all help the kid? How is that loving?

If a kid steals candy or a car, the kid just needs candy or a car. Why punish them? Why not simply give them what they want and let it go at that?

We are a rich country, surely the government has enough money to buy all our kids what they need or want.

Uh-huh, that's nice, but stealing a candy bar, etc isn't the problem and it doesn't make them end up in juvenile hall for a couple of years.
Behavior that isn't punished is repeated.
Beating the crap out of someone for a dollar or murdering them for the hell of it is the problem.
    THEY belong in prison.

What would you want done with this genius?

Obviously certain crimes should be enforced, but it if isn't violence against another person, then why punish them?

Why not simply have the government give them what they want, obviously if you are stealing or breaking some other rule it is because you need help.

"Obviously certain crimes should be enforced, but it if isn't violence against another person, then why punish them?"

That is the weakness of your argument.
THEY AREN'T being punished with prison, etc, for petty crimes.
Why do you claim they are?

If kids who break the law by entering our country illegally are going to be allowed to stay, then why punish any kid for breaking a law?

Why is that? Why should kids get a special break just because they are not Americans? Why shouldn't all kids get the same break?

i didnt say that. i just find your attempts to make points by taking the logic of one situation and shoe-horning it into another hilarious.

you want to compare children who commit one crime and receive little punishment against children who commit a different crime receive a large punishment........just so you vent your anger regarding your opinion that white ah-mer-a-kuns are unfairly treated compared to other groups.

just like your crazy defending of incest, just so you could could have a silly little dig at homosexuals.

    tenuous and desperate stuff.

consistency? it would be consistent to treat all people who commit the same crime equally. treating people who commit different crimes exactly the same is stupid. children crossing borders illegally is totally different to children stealing.

why stop there, why not compare children who commit mass murder with children who litter? why does one go to prison and the other just gets a fine!!!......what kinda world do we live in!!!!!!

anywhoooo we all know thats not what you a really arguing about, you want to argue about how tough white, working, middleclass americans have it compared to everybody else, especially illegal immigrants.

No, not punish all equally, but simply uphold the laws and not allow certain groups the right to ignore the laws.

People get taken to jail for outstanding tickets. People don't get citizenship and a social security check for a parking ticket.
