    $16? When I was 5, I might have considered that a "fortune".

So here is an article that shows John McCain earned around $16 million as a Congressman. How does this happen?

If he had beaten Obama for the Oval Office, would it have been more? The reason I ask is, Obama was only worth a meager million dollars while serving in Congress, but 8 years later he was worth $30 million.

    Beaten Obama how?

Like with a club, or a chain or maybe even a bullwhip?

Does such imagery make you smile?

You DO know that even black people can write best-sellers, right?

Writing books and speaking engagements. It's called free enterprise/capitalism. Perhaps you feel public servants ie teachers, doctors, lawyers, elected officials, etc., who are paid via the government should be restricted from legally supplementing their income.

This is a stupid thread to start with.

Funny how something that Socialists used to do, complain about people with money, has now been taken over by the far right.

Karl Marx is spinning in his grave. 😠

Who said I had anything against them become millionaires once they got elected.

    That is just assumed.

The same people who rail against the rich have no problem with those in government becoming 1%ers it seems.
