Gas prices rose under Trump until the pandemic recession.

End of January 2017 - average retail price of gas (all grades) $2.458

End of January 2020 - average retail price of gas (all grades) $2.636

Reading, writing, and speaking the English language ( dare I say ) properly is considered racist these days. Perhaps Average Joe is black , and you are stifling him with your supremacism?

So it is clear your motive. Why didn't you scream about the price of gas when Obama was POTUS? Oh wait, I forgot, you are a card carrying Trumpite cultist so ANYTHING you can point out about Biden means you figure Trump MUST now look better.

Is that about right?

nah…its just I hate being forced to give my money to big business oil tycoons when we have plenty of oil right here.

The US has no control over imported oil prices…we were oil independent under Trump.

We pay what russia , opec and other arabs tell us too…thanks to imbeciles like you.

I think the libs will try to wade through your comment here, bless'em, but the word 'independent' in your second paragraph will have the libs lost in your meaning. They prefer to be dependent, that is their concept of life.

Then how come:

"In 2019, the United States imported about 9.14 million barrels per day (MMb/d) of petroleum .................."

"In 2019, the United States exported about 8.47 MMb/d of petroleum ......................."

For those unable to do adding and subtracting:

"The resulting total net petroleum imports (imports minus exports) were about 0.67 MMb/d in 2019."

and they say this…

“ Net petroleum trade is calculated as the total imports of crude oil and petroleum products minus the total exports of crude oil and petroleum products. In September 2019, the United States became a net petroleum exporter for the first time since monthly records began in 1973.
The United States is a net importer of crude oil. In November 2019, the latest monthly data, it imported 5.8 million b/d of crude oil and exported 3.0 million b/d of crude oil. The United States is a net exporter of petroleum products (such as distillate fuel, motor gasoline, and jet fuel). In November 2019, the United States exported 5.8 million b/d of petroleum products and imported 2.2 million b/d of petroleum products.”
