"Javid’s decision on Shamima Begum demeans his office
The home secretary’s political ambitions are shamefully exposed by
    this playing to the gallery"

"Nowhere is that more evident than in Sajid Javid’s decision to revoke
Shamima Begum’s British citizenship. In trying to position himself
as Theresa May’s successor, the home secretary is signalling to the
tabloid press just how tough he is on national security and immigration.
Perhaps, as a son of immigrants, he feels he has more to prove.

But make no mistake, signalling is all it is. Javid is setting this up as
a fight between a strong home secretary and a mushy liberal left he
can portray as willing to forgive supporters of Islamic State of any crimes."

"Whether or not Javid’s decision to revoke Begum’s citizenship is
overturned [n court]– and he may well be expecting that – he wins politically.
If his decision gets reversed he can blame it all on unelected judges,
abrogating responsibility for the difficult decision he as home secretary should have taken."

The law seems clear that UK citizenship cannot be revoked if it would make one stateless.
Shamima Begum was born in the UK. Her mother was born in Bangladesh.
According to Bangladesh, Begum does not have citizenship in Bangladesh.
There's no evidence that she ever has visited Bangladesh.

The UK Home secretary may claim that Begum could apply for citizenship
from Bangladesh, but Bangladesh has no obligation to grant it.
It's absurd to argue that depriving one of one's only citizenship would
not make one stateless because one could apply for citizenship elsewhere.

Shamima Begum was not a combatant. If she has committed any
crimes, then she should be charged and brought to trial for them.
She has said that she's ready for her actions to be examined by UK law.

Shamima Begum has made statements sympathetic to ISIS, which
have offended most people in the UK. But there more than a few
citizens in the UK who have opinions that would horrify most people there.
If she's deemed to be a threat, then she can be subjected to normal
    police procedures in such cases.

So just being in any kind of relationship with an ISIS dude gets you in trouble, since by association, she must also be ISIS. A bit of a stretch and he has gone too far.
    Must be related to Trump.
Have you seen the rise of authoritarian governments around the planet lately? It is a blight on humanity and we should know better, just because we are in the 21st century doesn't mean all the bad people have just gone into hiding. There are in fact, bad people who want power above all things. We need to be able to recognize their nature BEFORE they become politically powerful. Don't know how that can happen though.
It just goes to say there are a lot of gullible not so intelligent people out there who think the next guy who spouts he can make a difference in their lives, they fall for that line of shyte every time. It seems like the human race can do with a dose of REAL intelligence where the average person uses critical thinking to see through these sham artists. For instance when I first saw Donald Trump on the Apprentice I disliked him, his obvious narcissism showed through everything he did but because of that TV show, he is now POTUS. Pathetic.

Sajid Javid comes from a working-class Pakistani immigrant family in the UK.
That's about as distant as possible from Donald Trump's background.

Sajid Javid has a record of pro-Israeli bias, attempting to suppress criticism of Israel.

"In 2017, Javid threatened to cancel Europe's largest Palestine convention, Palestine Expo.[82]
Javid, whose department controlled the QEII Centre, had warned he was "minded"
to cancel the event. Javid's intervention came amid claims by various Jewish and
pro-Israel groups that the organisers had previously praised Hamas.[83]
In 2017, Judge ruled that Javid acted unlawfully in issuing guidance to restrict local
councils from pursuing Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) against Israel
through their pension schemes. The Chair of the Palestine Solidarity Campaign
called it a "victory for Palestine, for local democracy, and for the rule of law"."

Javid has more on his plate with knife crime in England's major cities than worrying about a twisted nut case in the Middle East...
