    I don't qualify; I didn't vote for Trump. https://www.nytimes.com/2018/01/23/us/politics/trump-fbi-mccabe.html?action=click&contentCollection=Politics&module=RelatedCoverage&region=Marginalia&pgtype=article

Better put on hold on his travel. I think several will be fleeing soon, or try to.

Actually it was the deputy director who was forced out.

He'll make a fine witness at the impeachment trial.

I'm not a Constitutional scholar, but rather (sadly) a casual student.
Nonetheless, I don't believe a former non-sitting president can be impeached.
Obama and Clinton can only be arrested and face public trial, so their records are free of the threat of impeachment.

Well you don't need to be a Constitutional scholar to figure what this potential testimony would be relevant to:

McCabe was one of three top FBI officials who were told last year of an Oval Office conversation in which former FBI Director James Comey said Trump urged him to drop an investigation into former national security adviser Michael Flynn. The other two FBI officials have also recently left their posts.

The Oval Office episode is being scrutinized by Mueller as part of his probe into Russia's interference in the 2016 election, alleged collusion between the Trump campaign and Moscow, and whether the president sought to obstruct the investigation.

    https://www.politico.com/story/2018/01/29/mccabe-stepping-aside-as-fbi-deputy-director-374188?lo=ap_a1

The Donald has denied ever telling Comey this: https://www.axios.com/trump-denies-asking-comey-to-drop-flynn-investigation-1513307336-d5f32444-b892-4806-a0ed-d1305566e313.html

However, Comey wrote a contemporaneous memo verifying his account and also told three other FBI officials of the meeting and Trump's statements soon after. One was McCabe. That is relevant evidence regarding Trump's attempts to obstruct justice.

From before he took office, his enemies have been declaring this forthcoming impeachment.
Every new witness with outstanding credentials is the nail in the coffin, cries the media daily--- sometimes multiple times.
It's a campaign which has gone literally no where, produced literally nothing with respect to the promised "relief" which, itself, goes beyond suggesting to resolutely declaring Trump in office is a thing which demands relief.

And yet the actual results of only a year in office--- on metrics which the media simply cannot explain away, the things which people seemingly want the most, i.e., economy-related practices--- we are doing better than ever.

What world is the media covering, which is constantly presenting proof-positive of criminal deeds and never resulting in action, whilst the citizenry is experiencing an economic resurgence unseen in years?

I am more than surprised that their games aren't immediately obvious to you.

You are also "more than surprised" that no one else on these forums believes that a "flat earth" is "immediately obvious" either.

If the voting public keeps sitting on their hands like meek little sheep watching this, instead of pressuring their lawmakers to resist this jerk, there won't be any impeachment trial, or any other kind of trial for that matter.

What makes you think that the voting public is not "pressuring their lawmakers" to resist? If pressure is applied, as I assure you it is, and they ignore that, well, there's always the mid-terms in 2018.

There's a reason why Trump, Fox News and Republican lackeys like Nunes are trying to kill the Mueller investigation. And it isn't because it's "corrupt".

Support for impeachment of Trump now is almost as high as it was after Nixon's "Saturday Night Massacre". http://thehill.com/homenews/administration/365739-support-for-trump-impeachment-hearings-at-41-percent-poll

Less than a week after the Saturday Night Massacre, an Oliver Quayle poll for NBC News showed that, for the first time, a plurality of U.S. citizens supported impeaching Nixon, with 44% in favor, 43% opposed, and 13% undecided, with a sampling error of 2 to 3 per cent. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saturday_Night_Massacre

Less than 10 months later, Nixon resigned in disgrace.

Mueller is steadily building a case. More revelations will come and then even diehard Republicans might not be willing to fall on their sword for a person who has shown zero loyalty to anyone not named Trump.

Only thing Meullers investigation is finding is corruption of the left. Makes one wonder why he doesn't go after them like he does others like manafort that has nothing to do with Trump.
