I know I have been rather hard on Marxism of late, but after thinking long and hard about the philosophy, I've had a change of heart. Hear is why.

    1. No more crime. That's right, whats yours is mine and vice versa. There is no more theft, only redistribution thus freeing up our prisons.
    2. You only work if you feel like it. That's right, no more waking up at the crack of dawn and dragging your arse into work. In fact, don't go at all if you want.
    3. Everything is "free". Health insurance, retirement, food, shelter, etc, is all free!!!

I know Marxism has gotten a bad wrap. In fact, those on the left even seem to abhor its label. I just don't understand it. :'(

Those points have nothing to do with Marxism.

    1. Crime is more than theft alone. Although there would be rather little point in stealing things, that is true.

    2. Absolutely incorrect. In fact, in a true socialist state, if you don't work, you don't get paid. Of course, you don't have to work, that is up to the individual, but then you won't have anything (except perhaps a bare minimum) to live on. The difference with capitalism in this respect is that "jobs" are not profit driven, so there is always work. There is no unemployment.

    3. Again, not much difference to capitalism. Just murder a right-wing schmuck and the government supplies you with housing, free food, free health care and regular sex in the showers.

And in which of Marx's works did you learn this, whodster?

(One wonders whether he will be along any sooner to address this simple point than he will to explain where he got his information that nobody gave aid for H. Kat.)

I'd check under your bed again, whodey. There's most likely a team of committed Communists tunneling into your house. Don't be too hard on them either because when the Martians land you'll be glad to have those comrades!

When Palin runs in 2016 as a Marxist (my old prediction) will you available then to explain to all of us how it is really, really, really our last chance to take our country back? How will you choose between "Il Douche Beck" and the "Marxist Mama Bear?"

BTW, Republican, I notice that as soon as you can't answer a critic you start another thread wailing about some non-existent threat. I hope you're finally getting enough of an education from Beck College that you can find some more boogey-men. The crap you're throwing now is growing mold.

    1. True. There are things like murder and rape. However, you could extend the Marxist line of thinking that my life is your life and my body is your body.

    2. You mean there is no difference other than you can make more on the job in a capitalist system and no unemployment? My bad. In fact, it kind of sounds like a chain gang.

    3. Not much different than capitalism again? I'm beginning to have my doubts about Marxism again.

    Somebody help me!! :'(

You got me all wrong friend. I'm on your side now. Like you said, I simply had no answers for all of your brilliant rebuttals. As for Glenn Beck, don't expect to much from him. After all, he was once an alcoholic and he even is a Mormon!! What can I say, the guy is wacked.

I would just like to thank you for "re-educating" me. If I may, perhaps we could begin doing the same for the general public. I will e-mail the White House to see what they think.

As for those darned Repuklicans, all I can say is lets all grab a pitch fork and storm the Capital so we can remove all of those.....er....um....Blue dog Democrats who are really Repuklicans at heart!!

Edit: If you could please help me with Shav's responses. I though he was on our side but now he's got me questioning again. After all, its when we question things that we start getting into trouble.

One should really read at least some of Das Kapital before starting to think about Marxism.

But what is there to think about? We will end poverty....at least, if there is poverty everyone will be poor.....at least, everyone will be poor except our fearless leaders who call the shots.

Oh, I see. It's nothing serious. You know you haven't a clue what you're talking about - it's just petty trolling.

Good to have a hobby. Beats reading, it seems.

Perhaps you should read Das Kapital and find out.

All evidence of the whodster's reading indicates that he reads only to bolster his own prejudices. When he bothers to read: often, he just makes stuff up and then walks away when revealed as a fraud.

First of all, that is improper English. What I think you mean is "The Capital". (Honestly I thought Marxists could spell) Secondly, I don't have a book although I'm sure you do so why not share a bit?

I actually haven't read it - but I also don't have an obsession with Marxism.

I would wager that there are very few Marxists who have actually read it.
