"with all the dust and soot and ash you kid about, would my wife be happy with that?"

My guess is probably not. That is why I said it is not for everybody.
I wasn't kidding about the mess of bark and dust. It is a downside everyone should consider before switching to wood heat.

Heating preference is largely due to what is available or cheap. A corn farmer in Iowa ...[text shortened]... corn for heat in a corn stove. A person in Kentucky might burn coal. What is available in your area?
Here is something to resolve this issue.

In most regions, gas heating is significantly cheaper than electric heating, with the average cost of gas heat being roughly half the price of electric heat due to the lower cost of natural gas per unit of energy compared to electricity; however, the exact cost difference depends on your location and specific utility rates.
Key points about gas vs. electric heat costs:
Generally cheaper:
Gas heating is usually considered the more cost-effective option because natural gas is typically cheaper than electricity per unit of energy.
Variable by location:
While gas is generally cheaper, the price difference can vary greatly depending on your region and local utility rates.
Efficiency matters:

And so forth. In Fl where I am now, I use gas. Not much wood supply anyway!! Save the Cypress!
Speaking of saving things, Gavin Newsom gave into the green group, although he probably enjoyed it, and has joined the party to save the smelt fish. Whatever that is. Because of that, there is not enough water to put out all of the fires. Y’all need to watch Fox News to see what really is going on, obviously MSNBC would not slam California’s mismanagement.
Just sayin.

I can t google., Tell us all, since you brought it up, why he did that, inasmuch he is an oil lover? In your own words.
Why? Because he knew that his fox addicted followers wouldnt find out about it and reporters wouldn't ask questions.

Just another example of trump saying one thing and doing the opposite.

Strange, I do not find him confusing, I find him transparent, something the Biden Mafia was anything but. Tell us why you say Trump says one thing and does the opposite, whatever that means, but we see each of the 'things', don't we?
We saw only cloaks with the Biden Mafia. Did Joe or Hunter or the Chinee or any of their bedfellows tell us where the $50M all came from? Wildgrass??
You thiink TRUMP hides stuff????????????

You and Shouse and MB et al and Marauder all have me to a point where I am thinking.......
Here, today, Jan 9, 2025, with our present governmental status, elected officlals, what have you, .....what would be a perfect thing to happen over the next, say, 6 days? What would you like to happen? Let us all have s good laugh , stipulate, guess, about what SHouse might llike, I asked him in another post.

So what do you want?

I already addressed that issue with Suzi. I said this:

"Which is more efficient? A gas heater or an electric heater?

You burn gas to generate electricity wasting heat in the process. Then you use electricity to heat your house. Gas bypasses the heat waste since heat is the goal. Heating with electricity is inefficient.

You plug in an electric car to use electricity generated by gas. Why not just buy a gas powered car?"

https://afdc.energy.gov/vehicles/natural-gas

All you did was agree with me. You didn't resolve anything with me.

My bad, but since you know me 100% conservatie, it would be a given that I am for gas, not elctricity. So, you had to know we agree, and I thought that way, so that is why I tried to come up with some slant on it, and I sent the article abtu gas vs elect to be sure we could start from level field.
So I would tell the debate judges, who would say, 'yeah right, ' and list 5 marks against me!

Do you agree with any of the above items?
I think you are full of poop on all counts.
For one thing, his platform if you can call it that, was INFLATION, INFLATION, HIGH PRICES FOR FOOD.
So now we hear his hour and a half press conference and he talks about making the Gulf of Mexico the Gulf of America and buying Greenland or military takeover and making Canada the 51st state and taking over Panama.

Not a FUUKING WORD about how to tackle REAL problems like high prices for groceries and he used the word groceries once as if it was a brand new word he never heard before.

Then more talk about tariffs,
"Tariffs is a beautiful word' and the like but NOTHING about even a CONCEPT of a plan to lower the price of groceries.
Why is that?
I fully expect more word salad having nothing to do with that topic though as your usual MO.

For political reasons. While "drill baby drill" is a nice simple minded slogan, a lot of voters in coastal regions aren't anxious to have off-shore oil rigs in their vicinity. Ever hear of Deepwater Horizon?

So Trump when he was running for reelection in 2019 backed a ten year ban in waters from North Carolina to Florida. Now that he doesn't have to worry about such NIMBY attitudes, he's free to rant and rave against Biden for using the exact same law he did to do the same thing.

He says "drill baby drill" and then signs 10 year bans on drilling in three states.

There's no other way to interpret it.

Regarding the bribes (kind of off topic) but the guy who started that rumor admitted to deliberately lying to the FBI and was just sentenced to 6 years in prison.

Greenland has oil, which requires too energy, energy which requires to trucking and other incidentals that have to do with getting groceries to market. So when he fixes all that prices at the market will go down.

What a strange comment. The inhabitants are citizens of America, the country with more choice than any other. One chooses among a million places to live. There may be offshore rigs Voted ON By Their Representatives....in congress. legal permits given by appropriate authorities,,,,all legal. All posts on this Forum presume total legality.
The authorities, all legal, decide to put rigs near Timwalz Island, just offshore from Alaska, or maybe New Jersey. If the said citizens do not want that, they can move. Assume their reps fought against the installations, and lost.
That is the long and short it, we can feel bad fot their having to move.

Your other spec ulative comments are just that, and do not seem to make a point. Is there a point?
While I have you fellers, Biden is live at the moment promimsing 100% for the next 100 days, or something like that, to be sure everyone in S California is made Oh So Happy.
One of you tell the rest of us what the diff is in SCall and Ashville NC, with NO hurricane relief. Could it be the importance of all the rich folks in the Palisades??

It's a waste of time explaining things to a total moron like yourself.

I answered your question, but you seem too stupid to understand my answer. The long and short of it is; Trump put the ten year ban on off shore drilling in the waters bordering the three States in 2019 because he thought it would help him politically. He expresses outrage about Biden using the exact same law to do the same thing now because he thinks that will help him politically.

He has no real ideology or principles and this is just another among many examples proving it.

You really said that. GREENLAND is why our groceries are high. What a crock of shytt.
It doesn't matter WHAT POS policy Trump brings up, it is GREAT by you.
He SAID he would not rule out military action to take over Greenland.
JUST LIKE A DICTATOR who attacks other countries because he CAN and I bet you are also just fine with Trump trying to take over Canada and Panama.

Jebesus, do you have no shame? You talk about how Biden fuuked up pulling OUT of a war and you are ok with Trump starting THREE fuuking wars over NOTHING?

Your post is rife with what you think these things are done for. Surely their may have been more reasons. We may as well discuss wiindmills.
Yes, I will agree that things are negotiated and dictated often for political gain, which politician has not done that. An extreme was Clinton bombed aspirin factories during Wilenski to try to distract us from his affair. Do we know that that was his real reason.? Do we know what Trump's reason was?
And this begs my earlier questiokn....what in the hell do you libs want to do with all of this nefarious info that you have amassed? So let us say that y'all and Sonhouse (yuk) have all thsi stuff....What Do YOu What Do You Want To Do With It!?!?!?
Please don't do Souhouse who tells us why people do things all day long. Yawn.
