Who thinks we, citizens, taxpayers, normal people, should pay for this?
I mean, even if you make the case simpler, it’s going to end up heated:
- do you believe that imprisoned cancer patients should be given treatment at the tax payers expense?
- do you believe that inmates should receive therapy for anxiety? Psychological care?
- do you accept that gender dysmorphia is actually a thing?
- are there enough funds for all treatments inmates need? If not, who gets to prioritise who gets treatment or which treatments are given?
Then there’s that tidbit of information that this inmate is walking around the prison made up like a woman??? How the hell does that work?
And, if she gets the needed/ wanted surgery, does she then get moved to a female prison?
If so, are they nicer than male prisons and does this affect which choices she might make?
How is her distress measured? I mean, if she’s constantly being raped in the showers, you obviously have to do something, don’t you?
She sounds like a very troubled individual. And I feel sorry for her.
But she did murder a kid… that’s a bucket of bad right there. But, how and why aren’t mentioned. I mean, in what state of mind does someone have to be to murder a child???
It’s a strange story and I only really have questions. Sorry.

Taxpayers like you and me paid out over 519 million dollars for property damage, enhanced security, legal fees, and medical expenses, when Trump incited the rioters to "fight like hell" on January 6th. Estimates now point to a final figure over a billion dollars, this in addition to the millions of dollars in enhanced security for his multitude of golf outings. I didn't see you outraged about that. But - - let one person want one questionable operation and go crazy over it.

Uhhhh, did this poster answer the question of whether we should pay for a convict’s sex operation?
On the other hand, and this is the difference between you and him, you have answers even though you obviously don't have enough info to answer them, either, nor enough intelligence to have questions in the first place.

The government pays for it, using the money you gave to them under your obligation to pay taxes. That money is NOT yours, as I've told you many times. You're paying that money for the opportunity to be a citizen. That money is not yours once you spend it, just like any other monetary transaction. You don't get a say in what is budgeted for.
If you don't like the government's decisions on what to pay money for, then don't bitch, vote. But do not continue with the bankrupt idea that you paid for anything.
