The notion of "suffering in the name of environmentalism" is a little vague. Do you mean an increase in house prices because extra reinforcing is mandated? Or the inconvenience of sorting household waste? Please offer specifics.

There is no way to justify climate control based on science.....It has nothing to do with the climate. They want us to apologize for our success and our ways of life. They Use their religion as a vehicle to accomplish that goal,... which has as much to do with the climate as the Spanish Inquisition had to do with Christ, which was nothing at all. It is instead about Dominion and Power over people.
It is a cult.....How much are you willing to sacrifice to this cult?
Here is a chart on number of Hurricanes all the way back. Check out the next to last column.(ALL, 1,2,3,4,5). I see no change. So I think there is no climate change.

Just askin' for a friend. They want to know if we should suffer in the name of environmentalism, and this would be better discussed if we counted the increase in hurricanes over, say, the last hundred years.
After that myth was debunked they changed it to they are getting stronger and more deadly and there is no evidence of that either. Alarmists like to spread misinformation. It is far too common.

People should be glad the earth is warming back up after that cold spell. A lot of people died because crops failed to grow. The climate has been a lot warmer in the past. The Pliocene Epoch was much warmer with about the same CO2 levels as today. Climate change is normal.
Temperatures drive CO2 levels, not the other way around. Al Gore had the cause and effect backwards. He is a propagandist trying to scare people into accepting a carbon tax. He is a liar and he knows it. Now so many people believe that big lie it is a nightmare getting people to believe the truth. The ice core samples proved that CO2 lagged behind temperatures. A warmer ocean cannot hold as much CO2 so it was expelled into the atmosphere.
There is no evidence CO2 causes global warming at less than 0.05%
So we more than tripled the CO2 in the atmosphere. So what? It is still next to nothing. We could double that without any problems. Plants would grow better meaning more food.

This post is easily the best I have ever seen. I fact checked him and he is correct. Quite refreshing, esp after the venerable Kewpie uses a post to go ad hominem on me. I know I am in the minority here, but keep in mind that I have been chided for promoting self reliance, the end of dependency, such as that. Am I that bad? And how 'bout Shav's response.....Geez. Maybe that comes from aspects of dependency?

It is a scam. Apparently it is about control as well. When I heard talk about "climate lockdowns" it sounded so silly to me I dismissed it as a false rumor. It still sounds ridiculous to me. I live in the country near state land. How could they possibly enforce that where I live?
It was not a false rumor, just an incredibly stupid idea from the Nazi led WEF. Klaus' father was a Nazi. But he can be friends with Jews as long as they are Atheist Jews like Yuval Harari. Kind of like the ADL saying Nazis in Ukraine are okay because they are Jew friendly.

Also, the global warming movement was started by big oil. Maurice Strong and the Rockefeller foundation. The Rockefeller's fingerprints are all over it. I would also add that Methane and other gasses also lagged behind temperatures in the ice core samples. Despite that fact CO2 was made out to be the bogeyman gas. Isn't that interesting.
There is an effort to censor this kind of information from youtube and social media. Now you know why. If youtube wants to censor something it is probably the truth.
