Remove the SS cap

Remove the SS cap

Debates

From Tim Thomas on BlueSky:

If you make $176,000 your SS tax is $10918 (6.2% )
And if you make $5,000,000 you pay $10918 (0.2% )

Remove the cap and SS will continue decades. 😆

Why would any Republican think it is unfair to use the same rate? 😆

I am interested, but not the researcher as, say, Marauder. So my knee jerk is that SS is money to 'get by' on, subsistence money we can call live on. If you are worth$5M and lose all your investments juuuuuusssst when you retire, and only have a trailer (paid for) and a wheeler to get around, you can live on say, $25k annual. What would be the problem? My apologies if I miss your point. It is difficult for me to get a handle on, in that a guy making $5M does not need SS.
Maybe you are saying that the $5M guy should not pay in to, or draw from, SS. What are you saying? I get SS income, which is directed to a fav charity of mine. Point is, I don't need it.
Good post! A thumb-up from a non-liberal!!!! We are joining up!!! I knew we would! Have you noticed how Trump has his (weekly) pressers in the OVAL OFFICE!?!?!? Give it up , fellows, (I have been instructed to say fellows). He is a genius. And he can TALK!!! How refreshing. Remember when Biden said 'They told me I have to go now' or some such. Geez.
In a week or so, I will announce that I will no longer write about Biden. I know y'all were wondering about that.
