Back in the 1970's my father told me white people from the south hate yankees more than they hate black people. I've always wondered why this is, just as I've always wondered why southern states are traditionally poorer and less educated than their northern counterparts, even after 150+ years since civil war ended. To those in the north, the civil war is something that folks rarely think about anymore, but to most in the south, memories and stories of the the civil war are much more intense and personal. Below is a 20 min lesson on why the south and it's people have evolved they way they did. Pretty interesting

And think about how the few years of the civil war effected southern whites hating northerners, then think about why blacks have hatred against whites living through their hundreds of years of slavery.

Compare the depth of THAT hatred.

So let's dissect your post, shall we?

    1. All people from the South are full of hate. Check
    2. All people from the South are racist. Check.
    3. All people from the South are poor. Check
    4. All people from the South are uneducated. Check
    5. All people from the South are stupid. Check.
    6. All people in the South think about the rebellion every day and want to do it again. Check.

I can't imagine why those in the South might dislike those from the North, can you?

sounds like your father was a bigoted racist. racism knows no boundaries. only those that hope to profit from racism keep it at the forefront.

I want to retire north, called Canada. As far away from your buddy Trump as possible.

Whodey - Your talent for childish oversimplification never ceases to amaze. This is not what I said at all. You might want to actually watch the youtube clip before your paranoia runs amok.

Leo Frank (born in Texas) was a Jew who grew up in New York. He moved to Atlanta.
After being convicted (most likely wrongly) of murdering a white girl, he was lynched.
As far as I can recall, Leo Frank was the only Jew to be lynched in the South.

I lived in Boston til the age of 16 then we moved to my fathers' home state (Texas). I was educated on my family Civil War history by my grandmother. I remember her telling me (with obvious disdain) of a branch of the family who abandoned the South and moved to Ohio after the Civil War. For many in the south that war never really ended.
