This is always a hot topic, and I'm one of the few who doesn't give a hoot about it either way, but here are 2 thoughts for those (so called) pro lifers here. 1. Passing a law against abortion would be futile gesture, it's feel good legislation. 2. The days of men dictating to women how they deal with this issue in America are over, you're not going to put the toothpaste back in the tube here, and all your bible thumping and moral outrage isn't going to change anything, so save your breath. (Are you listening Whodey??)
    😉

Good luck with THAT bunch listening. They are 100% into complete control of women including birth issues. A last gasp of breath of the woman suppression going on for thousands of years. Maybe by 2200 women will be completely autonomous as far as their bodies go.

    Numbers 5 NIV
23 “‘The priest is to write these curses on a scroll and then wash them off into the bitter water. 24 He shall make the woman drink the bitter water that brings a curse, and this water that brings a curse and causes bitter suffering will enter her. 25 The priest is to take from her hands the grain offering for jealousy, wave it before the Lord and bring it to the altar. 26 The priest is then to take a handful of the grain offering as a memorial[c] offering and burn it on the altar; after that, he is to have the woman drink the water. 27 If she has made herself impure and been unfaithful to her husband, this will be the result: When she is made to drink the water that brings a curse and causes bitter suffering, it will enter her, her abdomen will swell and her womb will miscarry, and she will become a curse. 28 If, however, the woman has not made herself impure, but is clean, she will be cleared of guilt and will be able to have children.

29 “‘This, then, is the law of jealousy when a woman goes astray and makes herself impure while married to her husband, 30 or when feelings of jealousy come over a man because he suspects his wife. The priest is to have her stand before the Lord and is to apply this entire law to her. 31 The husband will be innocent of any wrongdoing, but the woman will bear the consequences of her sin.’”

Look everyone, not only can KN read, he can quote scripture without spontaneously combusting like a vampire exposed to rays of light.

    Who knew?

Well, where to begin? God destroyed the entire world in Noah's day because of wickedness. That still does not mean they were not human either, does it? That only means that he is casting judgment, judgment you no doubt disagree with.

    Blah, blah, blah.

Some god you have there, destroying all land animal life to get back at some bad humans. GREAT plan. Ruin the genetic diversity of the entire animal kingdom which includes human beings.

But that doesn't bother you does it? It was written in the bible therefore it HAS to be true.......

You do realize that destroying an eagles egg in the US could cost you up to $250,000 in fines or two years in prison, as where destroying and unborn child is not only legal, we want tax payers to pay the bill, right?

Our laws show us what we truly value, and I got news for ya, it ain't innocent human life.

No, the only lives the Left values are those who are in jail and SHOULD be on death row so they don't murder anyone else.

Actually, it's perfectly legal for a mother eagle to destroy their egg.

Best we try to keep god out of the discussion altogether, don't you think, rather than trying to impose religious morals on something which has nothing to do with god. Not everyone believes there's a god after all.

Nobody wants abortions, least of all I'm sure the women who have them, but it's women who bear children, so it has to be a woman's right to choose.

It does, sort of, mean that God was a bastard, doesn’t it.

Generic murder of people and beasts who had nothing to do with what the uber-guy was opposing...

Yeah... innocent children, animals, etc. all murdered by this so called god for the sins of others?

    Yeah. Charming.

I told you then, and I'll tell you now, the issue is not about life, it never was. It's about making sure women are always considered second-class citizens, below men, period.

To be fair, some women are anti-choice (or 'pro-life' ) on abortion.

Women who don't care about women's rights maybe, or maybe those who defer to their husband about what they can do with their own bodies. So, yeah, mainly Republican women who have been convinced that it's better to carry water for the rich than to have an independent thought.

The Republican Party is full of people who think it's a great idea to vote against their best interests. As nonsensical as it sounds, this must include some women.
