When the allegations against Cosby first started being aired, they had hardly any traction. But as the accusers numbers started to pass 20, then 30, then 40 and stabilised in the 50s, Cosby had lost the battle. His legacy was in ruins, and only the hardcore conspiracists would still argue that Cosby was innocent, and that in the big world of money, black men simply do not get to get away with keeping their health and wealth in retirement.

Will Trump face the same fall from grace and loss of faith from among his base and from right wing Congressmen in general?

At what level of carnage, as more and bigger fish, closer and closer to his inner circle start flipping, do Republican stalwarts say the mountain of evidence is too high to pretend it will just go away, and that if they don't do something soon and remove him from office, the stench of their association with Trump will effectively damage their brand to the extent that they are kept out of power for up to a whole generation?

Interesting question, but I don't think so. Most of the hardcore Trump base firmly believes Donald John Trump is GOD's chosen instrument to bring America back to it's golden age, whatever age that was. It will be almost impossible for Trump supporters to abandon their holy angel, no matter how many playmates and pornstars he jumps into the feathers with, or how many shell corporations he uses to hide his financial misdeeds.

Are the evangelicals so hell bent on power that they are not likely to disavow him for the golden calf he is? Don't they also stand to lose very big? You think there's no impending backlash for them to navigate at all? Or have the ministers of prosperity so blinded the flock to their, it's God's will that you should also be wealthy doctrine, that they will dance around the calf until they all get swallowed up?

I'll try and splain things to you from a evangelical perspective.

Currently, there is a mass genocide underway via abortion. So long as the DNC embraces such practices, and even demands tax payers pay for it, evangelicals will never support them.

It would be akin to someone in Nazi Germany voting for the Nazi party cuz they had really great socialist entitlements, which they did.

    It ain't happening.

Your only hope is to destroy the faith by continued infusion of secularism, with the down side of people dying from drugs at a rate of 200 plus a day and schools getting shot up every week.

But hey, anything for power, right?

    Paying off whores?

    Meh

Is it the morality behind the woman's right to choose or the fact that the State through tax payers funds foots the bill?

Where's the correlation between Medicare for all and a descent into Nazi style fascism?

Look everyone, another Progressive "I'm Spartacus" moment.

The Nazis would not have been cast as being so evil devoid of the Holocaust dingleberry.
