No, no, I'm not talking about Israel, sorry to disappoint you all. LOL. I am talking about the good old US of A!! How about a two state solution for conservatives and liberals? You know, split the USA in half and live and let live.

Really my question is for conservatives out there because I know that liberals would repulsed by the notion because they have run the roost for so long so why surrender any more tax revenue? So how about it conservative? Would you favor a two state solution? In fact, we would even give the liberals all the pretty and fun places to live like California, New York, Chicago, and probably the enite left coast. Now before any of you conservatives say no to the idea, just imagine if we had had a two state solution before the whole credit crisis. Where are the majority of forclosed homes I wonder? Are they not in liberal states? Where are all the huge imbalances in state debt I wonder? Are they not in liberal states like California? Would we not all be happier and better off being seperated from liberal tax and spend thrifts?

Of course, the only problem I would forsee would be the eventual need to build a wall to keep all the liberals out. Of course, not every plan is perfect, but at least its a start.

That would be a nightmare - a great victory for those who hate the USA, but a nightmare for us.

Both sides of the political spectrum have good ideas to contribute. We need dialogue and compromise where appropriate.

I propose a three state solution -- the conservatives get Texas, the liberals get northern California, and everyone else gets the remainder

Liberals get Vermont, conservatives get Alaska, and Socialists get everywhere else. Greens can share the forests with the socialists or something.

Well of course it would make the US "weaker", however, would it be all that terrible of an outcome? We could have an agreement that if another country attacked the other we would fight them off in combination. After all, both would have nukes. Who's gonna mess with them?

What it would do is limit this rush to collectivism. As it stands now, conservatives are without a country. If socialists don't like the US they have a myriad of other socialist countries to live in but as it stands now the conservative has no where to run.

The way I see it, it would once and for all answer the question as to which philosophies have the best ideas because both would be in action. As it stands now, we will never have proof as to which is better because both are not in action in their totality. Then again, as we become more and more socialist I suppose we will see if the whole thing collapses as it is beginning to do, but no doubt, the conservatives will be blamed for this entitilist nightmare of borderline socialist country going belly up.

Although Alaska seems to have more conservatives than liberals, do you really think the environmentalists would give it up? After all, the evil conservatives would exploit their natural resources by using them to their benefit such as drilling for oil. God fobid!!

Why don't you got to the Milton paradise of Argentina or Chili, or a country more in line with your morally religious views on women's rights like Iran or Pakistan. Conservatives like you, please there has got to be somewhere you can go, now, please.

A "solution" to what? What exactly is the problem you are addressing?

Acrtually, I was thinking more in lines with a fiscally conservative country. Know of any? You know the social issues are usually what pops into peoples minds when you say the word "conservative" I think it is because the "ccnservatives" in the US have abandon the fiscal aspect of conservativism but a few remain social conservatives.

Isn't Chili a Milton Friedman free market paradise, and think of the cool hats you could wear.

Ok, but we go by the last electoral map.

So we get Indiana, North Carolina and all the other states that Obama took.

But it's perfect for them! It's filled with oil and Native Americans to exploit, it has zero blacks, and best of all, Seward's Folly is not anywhere near the Mainland!!
