Will Kamala Exempt Tips From Taxation?

Debates

We all know she copied Trump's inventive idea (she has no ideas....can y'all show us one?). But she will not get that done, simply due to the fact of her promise to raise taxes on everyone, including you. She will hardly exempt tips while raising taxes across the board, you, the rich, everyone. You kids best be careful what you wish for. And get out there and buy that house you have been looking at, it will soon be out of reach.

She just copied Trump on the no tax on tips thing because she saw how popular it was. Funny how she's never said anything about it before.

Tipping should be banned.
Just pay people a decent fvcking wage.

It wasn't Trump's idea, it was Ron Paul's:

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/trump-says-no-taxes-on-tips-was-his-idea-it-was-a-gop-candidates-proposal-years-ago/

Ron Paul discussed it when he ran for president in 2012 and tried to get a bill passed exempting tips in 2007 when he was a congressman.

I guess this means Trump's stole ideas, right?

"I guess this means Trump's stole ideas, right?"

Wrong. Nice try, but exempting tips from taxation has been a common sense idea floated for as long as tips have been taxed... long before Ron Paul supposedly came up with that idea.

Congrats, you stated the point of my post. Trump did not invent the idea, it was around before him.

Hell, she voted TO TAX THEM...

"On August 7, 2022, Harris cast the tie-breaking vote to pass the Inflation Reduction Act that provided $80 billion in additional funding to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), which then got to work cracking down on the service industry’s reporting of tips so that they could be taxed."

Trump didn't claim to invent the idea.
The idea behind tipping itself (the reason for it) seems to have been lost and it's regarded as an entitlement. It's not an entitlement, it's meant to show appreciation for good service between a customer and whoever happens to be serving them.

Some places automatically add a tip to your bill, and that so called "tip" has nothing to do with how well or poorly you were served. It's supposed to be between you and the server, not between you and the business establishment.

Trump's exact words: "This was a TRUMP idea".

Copying? You mean to say consensus or agreement? If it's a good idea and both parties agree, what are you complaining about?

Oh come on. You want to play word games now?

You said:

So how could it have been Ron Paul's idea if excluding tips from taxation has been around long before Ron Paul proposed it?

Kamala proposing this idea immediately after Trump proposed it is exactly what it appears to be. The difference between Trump and Kamala is Trump would actually follow up on that promise.
When has Kamala or her running mate ever pushed for less government regulation and taxation? Not just talked about it, but actually do something.

Whether Paul came up with it or not, the point was that Trump is claiming credit for something he did not invent. I don't give a god damn if Paul was the originator, the point is that Trump didn't invent it.

Who cares? If it's a good idea every candidate should be promoting it.

You say "Trump would actually follow up". He had 4 years as president and did nothing about it.

All I did here is ask you to show us what she plans for America. Are you mad at me?
