Well. Shove a stick up my bum, twirl me around gently and call me a kebab... but this surely has to be madness?

Woman spelled womxn, because woman is sort of man-orientated.

    How do you pronounce it?
    Well, seemingly as wo-minx.
Now, if that doesn’t get the old sexist fox in you cackling, I don’t know what will!

Anyhoooooo... I’m obviously getting too old to keep functioning in this madness.

    From the article:
In a tweet, the museum said it was using the spelling womxn because "we feel that it is important to create a space/venue that includes diverse perspectives".

To which we should all say "STFU. We'll not be forced to speak your made up language, you tin-pot totalitarians." Or something to that effect.

The same thing has been said about terms like Oriental, accepting gays, calling trans people their chosen gender, women wearing pants...

All seemed "crazy" to people at the time. So you never know.

That's exactly how I picture Lt. Commander Data joking.

In fact, I think I might have seen that on a Star Trek episode.

I certainly won’t go that far.

But do you agree with changing language like this?

Well, I wouldn't go that far either.

Here's a video for you shav. It's a debate between two professors, one of whom is a transsexual in favor of Canada's law forcing people to use made up pronouns, and the other is Jordan Peterson who refuses to be compelled. It's about 16 minutes. I'll bet you come out agreeing more with Jordan Peterson.

During the Second World War, Walter Cronkite (who became famous later) was
an American war correspondent in Europe. During one battle, another American
war correspondent (who had got lost around the front lines) was looking for him.
He kept shouting 'Cronkite! Cronkite!' Then he was captured for German soldiers,
who seemed wary of approaching him. For some reason that he could not understand,
the Germans then kept him in solitary confinement for the next week or two.

Anyone who understands enough German should know why the German behavior was not so odd!

Krankheit means 'disease' in German, and it is pronounced very similarly to 'Cronkite'.
