Four years ago, Trump and his conspirators tried to overthrow an election and thereby the US government. They were stopped by faithful officials like Sec of State of GA Raffensberger and Mike Pence and by the awfulness of what they were trying to do. At some point, they lost their nerve and could not force the issue.
Trump has faced ZERO consequences for his actions from our pathetic justice "system."
Trump admits everything - a "perfect" phone call where he begs the Sec of State to overturn the GA results; inciting a riot - everything is on tape. But why wouldn't he admit it? No one held him to account. The justice system had FOUR YEARS to accuse him and bring him to trial - but nothing has happened. "Let these issues be decided at the ballot box," some said. SCOTUS has unhelpfully weighed in with: "Presidents can't be tried for SOME things." {Huh? What sorts of things?!? SCOTUS: "Like...like... 'official'-like things... we don't know...y'all go speculate on that for another 4 years.}
So now we go to the ballot box, and Good Voters say, "Yes, but he's an insurrectionist. The Constitution says we CAN'T elect him."
Bad Voters, crowing: "But he was never charged! Those actions are just alleged!"
Good Voters: "He admits what he did. He was TAPED!"
Bad Voters: "Never charged! Can't take that into account!"
Good Voter: "We don't have to wait for a verdict. We SAW what he did! The former Presidents actions HAVE to be taken into account when deciding who to vote for!"
Bad Voter: "LALALALALALALALADIDN'THAPPENNOCHARGESLALALALALALALA"

I'm old enough to remember when Gary Hart's political career was abruptly terminated by publication of a photo showing a young woman, not his wife, sitting on his lap. They both claimed there was no extra-marital affair and no sex; but that photo itself was then considered evidence of wholly inappropriate behavior for a presidential candidate.
It is astonishing that a man with a conviction for sexual assault, and 34 convictions for tax and bank fraud, is a candidate in 2024, quite apart from complicity in the attempted overthrow of a legitimate election result and boxes of secret documents illegally taken and insecurely stored (in a bathroom, for Christ's sake!).
How low the conservative party, supposedly the party of law and order, has sunk these days.

The MAGAGOP needs to die. Hopefully this election will be the end of them.
I would like to see the GOP replaced with a new party over the next few elections - an actual conservative Party focused on the issue of governing efficiently such that all our rights are protected equally.
@spruce112358 saidThe GOP has become unrecognizable to Cheney, Sasse, Romney, et al. In order to reform themselves, the GOP will have to eject the Tea Party members who hijacked and radicalized the GOP about 15 years ago.

If trump loses, it’s going to be nigh on civil war… democracy loses.
The only realistic consequence to this whole debacle is splitting America up. 2 seperate countries.
I see no other alternative in the unfolding saga.
@shavixmir saidWell if that happens thank God I live in Texas and not California🤣. Looks like the sheep have been fed well today, can you say baaa.

Living in the past? Hey Shouse, what do you think about Kamala letting it out that she and all of you have Contempt for 80 million Americans......Garbage, this after deporables, nazis, fascists etc. Wow.
And then she calls up Julia Roberts ( a movie star for some reason) and tells her to tell women to lie to their husbands. What kind of a society is she pushing , where she promotes a man lie to his wife. She is in our bedrooms!!!!!!!
It makes me want to come up there and whip your butt.
@spruce112358 saidShould Kamala be accountable for the border crisis. I am quite serious to say I would, if on a panel, vote that she does time for her negligence and obvious plan for more democrats.

Does it conjure up Kamala saying..."Just as long as we are all in the same place at the end of the day." If I invest in a small company tomorrow that I expect will bring me a 20% profit in a year (which I will, by the way) how can you libs square that with my neighbor, seeing as he will not be in the 'same place' at the end of my year?
You can't do it, little feller. So, for me to read your silly post leaves me wondering what in the hell you are talking about.
