Ok, maybe not the right forum, but I'm guessing with many developers and programmers here someone is bound to know this.

Here's my dilemma. I can access timeforchess.com from my workplace. I cannot access redhotpawn.com or chessatwork.com from the workplace.

I get a big black screen and "ACCESS DENIED" "BLAH BLAH CORPORATE AMERICA BLAH!" when I try TFC or CAW.

What's the difference that would make my workplace firewall catch 2 of the sites, but not the other?

The difference is the name of the url. "redhotpawn" being different, textually, from "chessatwork" and "timeforchess". Also, most firewalls look at names before they look at _content_ -- some do, but that's also probably what's happening.

Really? So it's just the name. I thought maybe there was some behind the scenes coding going on or something. I suppose the firewall is catching the "redhot" part and classifying it as porn. I don't know.

    Anyway, thanks for the response!
