    i hope ratings are stored as more than just an integer,
    this may become an issue as some players go to extreme high ratings.

    i see tebb has won some games without gaining a point. did he gain a quarter point ???????? he did take the risk of losing a lot.

    well, the risk was not very high: he played against someone very weak. (if he looses, he looses a lot, that's right, but he (probably) never looses against him). BTW: he actually is "just" no. 2 here at RHP...
    the rating function is not continous (due to the "K&quot in both arguments (the players' ratings), I think this is not good. but there are just three or four players concerned by this step in K...

    and there is another step in K also! and then the effect will become even more apparent.


    correct me if i am wrong but i think noone rated over 2100 ever gets a rating point by beating someone under 1410 or so. also they will get exactly the same point beating a 1480 player as by beating a 1620 player. to encourage maximum play across the levels it would be nice to see those dudes up there get at least something for playing us simpletons.
