    Hello all.

Me and a couple of my college buddies are working on rewriting the old Nintendo game battlechess (brutalchess.sourceforge.net - still in alpha), and I'm writing the AI for it. We're using an alpha-beta tree for the AI.

My question is, is does anyone know any good sites that can help with the code involved in evaluating a board? That is, how to assign how good or bad a board is based on whose turn it is and where the pieces are? I've looked all over to no avail.

    Thanks in advance,
    Maxwell

Look into Crafty or something similar. I believe the source is available somewhere.
