Originally posted by @sonhouseWell I’m not responsible for the ad material. Why don’t you investigate and report back.
On shaky ground again.
Originally posted by @hand-of-hecateI think the real question should be, why are you not using an ad blocker?

I'll let someone else say they used it and met your wife joke.

Russ has yet to disappoint me that way. (I don't care about dodgy content, only about the safety of my browser.) And the site is worth it.

Originally posted by @ponderableIt would be if a. I had a credit card to make getting the money to Russ feasible and b. I were able to play more than a handful of games without getting overloaded. Neither is true, so I put up with the ads. I don't mind on this site.

(Meanwhile, e.g., Imgur is committing suicide in a complicated and drawn-out manner.)

Originally posted by @russWhat would no ads mean for the future of the net? Totally only paid subs, is this something from the right wing governments around the world? what is the genesis of such a change?
If the ad is blocked, the ad is not shown, resulting in no interaction with the ad = no revenue. The ad supported web may cease to exist in the future, but right now it is what funds (in part) services such as RHP.
