    1. Stay within the rules of the system you have entered.

    2. Do just enough to solidify your profile and position so that you are a
    at given human
frailties you would succumb to temptation too and
revel in your new found status.

    please excuse the concision of thought and brevity of words;

You'll have to excuse me sir, but I am not getting any
meaning from this your latest post. Perhaps you will
clarify for my concise lawyer mind.

Something about temptation I think you were trying to make a statement about.

I wish to put it on the record that I am only interested in facts.
Facts which are indisputable and can be laid before a court of law.

Do not post links and most certainly do not quote superstitious rubbish
from any publication which claims to be a holy book.

A book is a book no more no less.

Some books carry more weight than others true
but that which cannot be proven has no place in my arena.

    And what does he do?

    He posts a link.

You know in years to come the dumbing down will be complete.

Instead of going to Harvard or Yale or any other distinguished seat of learning,
    people will attend You Tube.

Where did you do your Doctorate? Your Thesis? YOU TUBE?

    I have a you tube doctorate......how ridiculous.

The letters after your name will be LOL.

It's a very hard game trying to be liked,
they call me Johnny but my name is Mike.
It's good to make friends and play a while,
but it's hard to know if you should wear a smile.

The people on here are strange for sure,
hard to know if their intentions are pure.
Whether you're old or just in the door,
they range from 16 to 84.

Sock puppets, cheaters and old sanbaggers,
thick skinned people and alert Mod flaggers.
All the world is here at RHP.
No one will ever know the real me.

On the clan forum they bitch and snipe,
sometimes the language is very ripe.
It's not a place for me no more.
Played the peacemaker and my heart got tore.

The general forum is the place to be,
discussion and games and Grampy Bobby.
The action here is subtle and tame.
makes the other forums dumb and lame.

But while we're all here having fun,
    no one really knows anyone.
    Am I a lawyer? Am I a priest?
For God's sake give me a clue at least.

Better watch your step looking for a fan,
you might earn yourself a forum ban.
So when you're talking on here, hope your drink ain't spiked.
It's a very hard business trying to be liked.

Note in a Bottle, Circa February, 2013

    Oh, johnnylongwoody of Dublin, Ireland,
where does a USA Friend possibly begin?
    The innocennt would say at the beginning;
the worldly wise and cynical, the end.

So, we simplify, as our grandparents did:
we discard any thoughts of the beginning
and the tired day ends as a place to begin.
Both beckon but we choose Tertium Quid.

(We delegate the fulfillment of our hopes)
