I just got windows media edition and I want to convert all of my James bond tapes to dvd. I have a double layer burner. I have heard from some people that if you use the double layer burning to make dvd's that some standard players wont know what to do with it.
Should I just use a regular dvd and if so what type?

Most DVD players support dual-layer DVDs. If you have commercial DVDs, most of them have "Dual Layer DVD" labelled underneath the title, or somewhere else on the actual disc.
