There is a cave in the wildnerness just outside the town of Bella. It is rumored to be an enchanted cave. A cave full of wonders and treasure beyond all mortal comprehension. However along with the myth of great fame and fortune comes the tale of absolute horrors. Many have entered this cave with the hope of striking it rich, all who have entered have never again seen the light of another day. There is a tale of a beautiful enchantress who lives in the deep dark layers of the cave, it is rumored that she entices men and beast to come to her through her irresistable voice, it has been said that her voice puts all who hear it to sleep never again to wake.
I the DM will be playing the roles of the bar keep and that of the trail guide who is a very tempermental half-elf named Hawkeye Silverwing. We start off our adventure in the town of Bella in a smokey tavern called The cave of dreams.
When reponding to this tell me your charaters name your class and what you are currently doing. As i have stated in another post all characters must be new ones no old characters will be honored all characters will start out as level 1 and have 100 pieces of gold. tell me your specific skills and I will let you know if they are appropriate for your class and level. For instance a lvl 7 elf mage may be able to speek several languages but wouldn't be able to understand dragon until lvl 20. that being said Good luck to all of our adventures and may your journeys bring you fame and fortune.

This sounds great but you must start off as a lvl 1 thief.

Key are you from Bella or is your apartment elsewhere.
This pub is a very special pub as many of the locals will tell you, Not only is the drink of choice Grog which is very intoxicating but possess a special quality that allows the drinker to have total clarity and presence of mind as they taste fresh air. It is enchanted grog passed down from a recipe of old. The rich people you are waiting for will be in their right mind as you try and rob them.
The tavern door opens and out walks a prissy looking gentlemen about 5foot 6 inches tall and 200 pounds. He is wairing a coat with a hood so all you can see is his girly face. His coat seems to be bulging at the pockets. Possibly he could be carring large sums of money perhaps he carries something all together unexpected.

What do you need to know? It's been about fifteen years since I've played. I don't remember everything involved in rolling up a character.

Name: Willow
Race: Elf
Class: Sorcerer
Gender: Female
Alignment: Lawful Neutral

Skills: Bluff, Concentration, Spell Craft, Move silently, Spot, Search
Languages: Common, Elven, Orcish

Spells: Daze, Light, Mage Armor, Ray of Frost, Resistance, Summon Creature (1)

I can be more specific if you desire, like stats the ranks in the skills etc...but you seemed to indicate you wanted to keep trck of that stuff. Let me know.

Willow is standing in the middle of the bar trying to draw as much attention to herself as possible. She is friendly and outgoing and can feign interest in anything the patrons have to say. She is flambouyant (high charisma) and loves attention. She will try to pay particular attention to anyone in the bar that does not seem interested in her antics...she will want to know more about them as soon as she has a chance.

There is a conversation taking place at a table just behind you. Two men and One woman are willingly avoiding your gaze and muttering as to not be heard. You over hear just a few words of the conversation something about a cave and a man named Hawkeye-Silverwing. One of the men at the table looks identicle to the female at the table. They both have long blonde hair and the bluest eyes you have ever seen. The other man at the table gets up and goes outside for what seems like fresh air. He is wairing a coat with a hood so all you see is his face but has a very prissy appearance you notice that his pockets are bulging.

Well, the only spells I remember are Magic Missle, Cure Light Wounds, and Tenser's Floating Disc (which nobody ever took). Or how many spells you're supposed to get. The Skipper made a 1st level sorcerer with six spells. Maybe I'm just getting Alzheimer's, or something, but I'm sure that's more spells than a 1st level sorcerer should be allowed.

Or are we not supposed to be using AD&D rules and just sort of wing it? (an expression I've always hated). I'm assuming you don't want to know my strength, dexterity, etc., or my armor class, or how much money I spent on my long sword, small shield and rations?

It's all just...too...chaotic. I'm a Lawful Good character, for crying out loud. I need some guidelines.

Just wing it man. If you get too out of hand I will stop you. What is your class or race. Lawful Good ok we can do that. You are walking down the streets of Bella looking for trouble makers and notice a suspicious man hiding in the bushes outside of the local tavern. You also notice a dark hooded figure standing in the door way of the tavern. He appears to be out for some fresh air. After hearing of the special enchanted grog you cant blame him.

He may know six spells but as a level 1 character his likelyhood of hitting his target with one of those spells is not very high. No prob with spells just make one up and tell me what its supposed to do if it is not lvl specific I will tell you

As I understand the 3.5v rules, the sorcerer is considerably different than the old magic user. A sorcerer, for instance, can cast any spell in his/her knowledge without memorizing it prior to leaving on the adventure. However, the number of spells avaliable to a sorcerer are drastically limited compared to a mage. I think as a sorcerer I can cast 4 zero level spells (cantrips) and 2 1st level spells...I'm not positive of these rules however.

Should be fun, regardless. 😉

Willow goes to the bar and buys two pitchers of mead (ale? grog? you get my drift)...She carries the pitchers over to the two remaining people at the table in question, sets the glasses in front of the people, sits down and says "I'm not used to being ignored and you two look like you might have some problems. It just so happens that I solve problems and would be happy to offer my services, if you wish."

My name is Elder said the Blonde Elvish man and this is my sister Kai we are not used to being over heard you must have tremendous hearing ability to over hear what we were saying. The twins pick up their glasses simultaneously and chug down all of the contents. You see that girlish Man in the cloak that was sitting with us he calls himself Hawkeye Silver-wing we owe him quite a bit of money for services he render to us awhile back, he is angry because the money is past due and we can not pay. He is a very patient man but if he is angered in any way he likes to throw things dispite his girlish appearance he is quite strong. He has said that if we go with him on this journey and retrieve a certain ring from a certain cave he will be willing to forgive our debt totally. My sister and I just agreed to his terms but he doesnt want to wait until the morning he wants to leave right now. You have showed us kindness this night we would like to offer you passage along the path that we travel tonight. We leave momentarily, what say you.
