It's not so much the pain of missing the bus/train, but the faces of the other passengers who've seen your failed attempt and watch you while they pull away.

I catch at least 2 buses every day. (Some days up to 6). - Easiest way to get around in London.

Not when it comes to splinters though. Glass splinters hurt like the devil, and if clear glass, then they're hard to see.
