It's very simple. A number goes on the left side of the =, and initials of the words that define the number go on the right.
Example: 100 = C in a M;
Answer: 100 = Centimeters in a Meter
24 = K in P G

I had to google the correct distance of a light year, but I find the science of light fascinating. Earl posted the correct mathematical expression, but I do like to see all those zeros.
Here’s something you may like; it’s video from a YouTube channel I’ve been watching recently called “Veritasium” which I recommend. In this particular video he answers his son’s question “how are rainbows made?” and through experiments he highlights the common fallacies and misconceptions, while exploding the incredible light-science behind the phenomena.
